If marriage will work and last, it must start with selection.

Before you ever talk about “doing the right things”, ask yourself three questions:
Am I the right person?
Have I chosen the right person?
Am I willing to do the right things?

Many people make long lists of what they want in a spouse, but never pause to ask if they themselves are what that kind of person is looking for. You cannot demand qualities you have refused to become.

Marriage is too heavy for one person to carry alone. No matter how good you are, choosing the wrong partner and doing the right things will still end in frustration. Marriage does not change people; it amplifies what is already there.

You can either marry a prayer partner or a prayer point. Whatever you choose, do not complain about it later.

Lastly, love is not just intention; it is understanding. Knowing your spouse’s love language and speaking it consistently is how love stays alive.

Be the right person.
Choose the right person.
Do the right things.
