Very frustrating update to the Crunchyroll problem: I'm hearing news from within the company (daiz.moe/crunchyroll-is-destroying-its-subtitles-f…) that execs have determined the backlash wasn't big enough to stop them from ruining subtitles in the near future.
Luckily, there's a clear solution to that: more backlash. Share this video and the above article with your friends - and any creators or influencers you know who might be able to spread the world further. leave a like and comment if you haven't already, and please do so on the short I'll be posting tomorrow as well. And if you decide to cancel your crunchyroll subscription, make sure to leave feedback that you want a firm, public commitment to maintaining subtitle quality before you'll consider returning.
Also please be aware that even if you pirate, this will still affect your viewing experience because fansubbing is not what it used to be, and most pirate subs are just crunchyroll rips. And for dub watchers, this will still lead to less on screen text being translated overall. This is an issue that affects the ENTIRE anime fandom, and we need to respond to it as a united community.
