Although this year we won't see the release of OMEGA PHENEX COMMENCED PROJECT SIX, the developer, するめ工房 (@surumemanzyu), has released a video summarizing the progress made on the game this year, and promises that we'll see more of it at Steam Next Fest (late February to early March 2026).

Thanks to the Game Awards, we have at long last a first look at PROJECT ACES's newest entry into the Ace Combat series, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. According to the official website, the game will take place in 2029 (10 years after the events of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown) as the FCU (Federation of Central Usea) comes under attack by the Republic of Sotoa, and you are to take to the skies as the Wings of Theve and reclaim your homeland from the invader. The game is expected to come out in 2026.

One year ago, Amazon Prime Video's animated anthology series Secret Level released, and along with it, the episode "Armored Core: Asset Management", an original story representing the Armored Core franchise and featuring some elements that imply it would've taken place in the same universe as Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon if not for FromSoftware's memo to make it completely separate. The main character's voice and motion capture were all done by Keanu Reeves, while the voice in his head is portrayed by Erin Yvette (who also voices Ayre in AC6).

Overall, I was satisfied by the episode and happy that the franchise got some recognition outside of the games, even though the episode was on the short side when looking at the rest of the anthology.

Today will mark Project Wingman's fifth anniversary since its release in 2020. Not much for me to say here since there's hardly anything worth mentioning for the game since last year's PC port of Frontline 59 after it inexplicably spent nearly all of 2024 as a PS5 exclusive (a major slap in the face for the fandom, considering the original game was a PC release).

I could've done so much more video content for the game a few years back, but then Ace Combat 7's modding scene began to surpass PW's exponentially, and my viewpoint of the PW fandom souring over the years when looking at the mini-cult formed around the lead writer, who spends much of his time picking slapfights and posting bizarre rhetorics on Twitter. I don't expect the game to deliver any more timely updates with the development team's understated history of scope creep.

Pre-orders for the Live Recording CD of the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon - Re:Resonance concert have begun. The 2-disc album features 25 orchestral arrangements of classic and new tracks in the Armored Core series, with Disc 1 being focused on VI while Disc 2 contains 9 re-arranges of the older games' songs.

The album will be sold for 6,600 yen (tax included) and will include a 16-page booklet along with the two discs.

Pre-order period ends on December 7, with an estimated arrival date in late January 2026.

Maintenance for Mecha BREAK servers in preparation for Season 2 - Echoes of the Void has begun, with an expected downtime of 10-12 hours. Verge leaderboard has been finalized, and I'll be occupying the 100th rank on North American servers (the exact cutoff for being Indestructible), meaning I get the Season 1 title and associated supply crate rewards.
