WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown.
The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us. Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: CULTIVATE CURIOSITY

Here are a few snaps that didn’t make the this weeks video. If you haven’t seen it, you are missing out on the Bahamas 50 Shades of Blue.

Spending time with family is one thing we don’t do enough of. Missing them is the hardest part of this nomadic life.
This is Jason’s family. In the first photo is his mom Mary, his younger sister Lauren and even younger brother Jacob. So far, Lauren is the only one adding to the family tree. She has a 3-year-old boy named Mateo and now a baby girl Georgianna. And a new baby was the perfect excuse to get the family together.
So, if you’ve been wondering why we’ve been quiet, it’s because we’ve been catching up on snuggles, playing frisbee in the park, and swapping stories while sampling new beers.
We do have one more video from METS about hybrid and electric motors for bigger boats (like our sailboat). But we're going to hold off on that until next month to give everyone a break from the tech videos.
We’ll be back next week with a boat update and what’s next for us. Then, back to the adventures!
P.S.
The last photo is a flash back of 6-year-old Jason holding his sister Lauren.

For those of you who asked about this scene…
Once upon a time women ruled the world of beer. 🍺 They were called "alewives". They brewed beer in their homes using large cauldrons and kept cats to keep the mice out of the grain. The Brewster's would stick a broom through the window to show that fresh beer was on sale. Some even wore large hats in crowded markets to stand out.
As brewing became big business, men wanted in on the action, and the alewives faced competition. How better to discredit them than by accusations of witchcraft? 🧙♀️ Suddenly, their cauldrons, brooms, and hats weren’t just tools of the trade, they were symbols of sorcery.
So, the next time you sip a beer, raise your glass to the alewives who were the real beer brewing pioneers. 🍻
When I went looking to verify this story from the World of Beer museum...I also looked for pictures (or paintings, because cameras didn't exist back then) and I didn't find anything. So I asked AI and that last image is what it gave me. A bit creepy with the no face people in the background. So for all those worried about AI taking over their job...I think we're still a long way off from that. 🙈

Uncrowded, unassuming, and undeniably beautiful...that was Belgium for us. We didn't hit all the hot spots or visit all the museums or take part in any major festivities. But we did walk enough to wear holes in our shoes, we almost never drank the same beer twice and we ate ALL things made with salt and/or sugar.
We also shot way too much footage and it's taking us twice as long to edit.🤪 So no video from us this week. Luckily Jason has enough residual sugar in his system to keep him going strong. So well have the final Belgium episode ready for you soon.🍻

Hi there. It's Sunday so I wanted to show up with a smile. We're still working away on the next video and getting CURIOSITY whipped back into sailing shape. We'll have the video ready for you next week and hopefully the boat will be ready to go by then too. 🫣

No new video from us today but we'll be back next weekend. In the meantime, here is a birds eye view of one of the many little spots we've dropped the hook here in the Philippines. We look like a tiny boat for ants from way up here.
This is Ditaytayan Island and it's neat because you get sunrise on one beach and sunset on the other. It's a visual feast for the eyes twice a day.
Most of the coral was all wiped out (not bleached but completely dead) which was sad as you can tell it used to be very impressive. But there were still lots of little fish hanging about and hiding in the sea grass. Found some new funky fish I have never seen before. I will post some and see if any of you can help us figure out what kind of fish they are.

Some extra snaps from this weeks video. Our new friend Raul takes us deep inside the Philippines most dangerous wild food. As in it grows wild all through the Palawan province and is FREE for anyone to take advantage of...if they dare.
We love stumbling upon these stories and being able to share them all with you...I don't even have the words to express how much it means. Thanks so much for being a part of the journey!

No new video from us today. We’re taking one Sunday a month off from publishing for a while. Giving us time to seek out meaningful stories. Time to be more thoughtful. Time to be more human. Time to be sailors.
Right now, we’re deep in passage planning mode. Typhoon season is sneaking up on us quick and we need to decide: go up towards Japan or go down towards Raja Ampat to get out of the zone?!? 🤔 Both are around 850-900 miles.
But first, we must sail the 400 miles to Cebu for our first warranty service and haul out👏🏻! Which places us smack in the middle of the Philippines.
So many things to consider, so many different paths to take, all leading to places we have never explored. Which direction would you go?

We share everything…but a table. So happy to have our own work stations! Especially because Monday is Tax Day 😳. Anyone else burning the midnight oil to prepare?
While there won’t be a new video this Sunday, know we have been on the move and we’ll be sailing with you next week!
May the deductibles be ever in your favor. 🙈
