There’s something sacred about being pursued—not by punishment, but by perfect love. Scripture reminds us that God doesn’t chase us to shame us, but to shape us. His love is relentless. It disciplines us not out of anger, but out of adoption.
Hebrews 12:6 tells us, “The Lord disciplines the one He loves.” And Psalm 23:6 promises, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” In the original Hebrew, the word for “follow” means “to pursue”—as in, to chase with intent.
God is not distant. He is not passive. He is a Father who runs after His children—not because they’re perfect, but because they’re His.
If you’re in a season of correction or redirection, know this: it’s not rejection. It’s restoration. He is chasing after you with mercy, truth, and unshakeable love.
✍🏽 “Chased by Love”
He doesn’t run from broken roads, He walks them just to find me. In shadows deep, His mercy speaks, “Beloved, you’re still Mine.”
Not wrath, but grace, not scorn, but care, Each step I take, He’s near— To lift, correct, protect, perfect, And whisper, “I am here.”
I’m not alone. I’m not unloved. Though I may drift or roam— The God who disciplines with love Will always call me home.

“God doesn’t chase you to condemn you. He chases you because He loves you too much to let you stay lost, stuck, or broken.
You are pursued—with mercy. Corrected—with grace.
Held—with purpose.
