One of the primary sources of humor in the malayalam comic strip "Mayavi", Luttappi is known for his cheekiness and cowardice. His stupidity and overexcitement often land everyone in trouble. He owns a magical spear that can fly (similar to a magic broom, except he must wrap his tail around it to ride). Manned by Luttappi, the spear serves as a convenient mode of transport for him and his comrades, Dakini and Kuttusan.

Mayavi (മായാവി) , is an imp (ചാത്തൻ) who was once enslaved by the evil witch Dakini, who sought to steal his powers for herself. As the main protagonist, Mayavi helps keep the forest safe from villains and dark wizards. Most of the stories revolve around the two dark magicians, Dakini and Kuttusan, along with their companions, attempting to capture Mayavi—but always failing in hilarious ways.

Apart from the power of invisibility, Mayavi is not known to possess any inherent magical abilities. Instead, his powers come from his red wand (closely resembling a mace). Without it, he can be easily captured, as he becomes subservient to whoever holds the wand.

Whenever the children chant “Om Hreem Kutichathaa”, Mayavi comes rushing to their aid. They are frequently imprisoned by Kuttusan and Dakini as part of schemes to lure Mayavi and trap him.

He serves as one of the main antagonists in the Malayalam comic strip "Mayavi", alongside Dakini. The storyline portrays Kuttusan as a bald old man in a blue robe whose sole purpose in life is to capture Mayavi. To achieve this, he often goes out of his way to befriend beasts and other dark creatures (such as imps and wizards). However, his clumsiness in handling matters of magic eventually leads him into trouble. His stupidity and stubbornness are frequent sources of humor in the comic.

Even in her old age, she continues to team up with Kuttusan in the hope of capturing Mayavi. Together, they also never miss a chance to try and catch Raju and Radha, knowing that they are friends of Mayavi.
