I wish to see this guy again, I met him in 2017 walking hopelessly on the street of Takoradi Market Circle. He asked me for food and after few interrogations, I realized he didn’t know his parents or their whereabouts. It was very disheartening at the moment so I got him food and decided to know where he sleeps. Amazingly, He took me to Ibrufum (Fose lane) and pointed at a table which he sleeps on. Note: The aforementioned place is quite the most dangerous place at night. I was afraid to leave him alone on the street so I gathered courage to take him to the central police station and yes as we got there, The policemen at post told me, Other people have brought him there before so they can’t accept him. The situation was intense at that moment, Thus, contemplating on whether to take him back to the street or along with me to my hostel ( Takoradi Technical University) since a whole Ghana Police have even rejected him. With fear but little courage, I took him to my hostel, got him showered and the following day we continued the journey to the social Welfare Department at Sekondi after gathering some enquiries from my friends at the hostel. We were warmly welcomed and they took his details and asked me to go back to school. As a “child” as I was and a student, I couldn’t do follow up till now. Today, I was going through my Archives and I chanced on the photos. So I feel to visit the Social Welfare Department soon for more information about him.

A Letter To @KofiKinaata Dear Ghana’s biggest songwriter, My name is Braa kwame, A blogger and content creator and I hope this Piece finds you. You have so far paid enough dues in uplifting entertainment in the western region which was undermined some time ago. Today, If Ghanaians are supposed to talk about music in the west , you are ideally the perfect picture to be framed considering your achievements. You are an inspiration to many across the country especially with your writing prowess. However, I believe It’s time for Ghana specifically western region to enjoy more of you in diverse ways. The region finds it difficult to boast of major musicians aside yourself, Pappy Kojo, Lasmid and Ayesem per my view. How do we get more young artists into the limelight? It is noted most of the upcoming music stars in the western region are lazy but let’s take that to be a thing of the past to change the narrative. Per my research, they only lack motivation and the technicalities. We have seen Sarkodie and Shatta Wale putting up a collaboration to pave way for the young ones. In addition, Pappy Kojo did same on his EP but the push wasn’t enough and it’s still not too late. Dear Kinaata, I know you have collaborated with few artists in the region but my humble request to you today is to shine more light on our upcoming artists so the west side legacy can continue to reign like the Kumerican family. The region has rated you a legend but it is hungry for new talents to follow your steps. Imagine the beauty of rocking bigger stages with your Takoradi brothers and the Fante vibes you shall give at back stage as you share memories. It may seem tough but remember Matthew 19:26 always. Best of Regards and congratulations in advance as you win EP of the year and other awards in TGMA 2025. Say hello to Auntie Ama and Ojoo for me.
