Is it just me or does anyone else feel EMBARASSED to tell their family that they’re a content creator online? Especially when you’re just starting out and don’t have a huge social media presence yet. I hate being laughed at and mocked for having a different career path. Today one of my in-laws said “oh so you’re one of those TikTokers that has to get a real job now because TikTok is getting banned.” Then proceeded to cackle with others. I’m not gonna lie, this hurt me and made me feel awful.

It was so great to connect with local content creators and also watch the Rubik’s WCA North American championship! I would love for @YouTube @youtubecreators to have more meet-ups like this in Minnesota. It’s easy for us content creators to feel alone, and spaces like these allow us to feel connected and thrive.
