Ok I must confess, despite having installed quite a few screens for friends’ teslas; big screens or sometimes the so call HUDs, they are really not for me.

I like things simple. I like minimalism. And so when I had to replace the mini lcd display I go already, it was a proper pain to find something I’m happy to try.

Then I stumbled upon this display / mount combo, itis a MagSafe mobile charger, but you can option a little “cookie puck tablet” to display the speed as well. Personally haven’t seen this design before.

Essentially, you can choose to use it as a speedo or just put waze on your phone and mount it.

It is small and doesn’t block airflow, and the display looks sharp! I’ve used it for a short
while and genuinely like it.

Difficulty is a 1 of 5. Super easy just 2 side panels.

Haloblk carbon fibre mirror caps, really completed the set with the dry carbon spoilers! Even better now I definitely know which ones mine in a sea of white Teslas.

The whole kit took about 10-15 mins to install. Super easy. Like a 1 of 5 kind of difficulty.

Quality is noticeably better than my another brand I’ve got before, objectively smoother, thinner and better mould to shape. At least this time I know what you are paying for vs the other brand I got previously.

Love that it’s got a little bit of design language to it as well which is a nice touch.

Will do a proper install and compare video as well shortly so do check out the other videos here as well!

Incident I experienced today and thought I’d share.

Original Post:
Brakes suddenly not working, anyone experienced this before? Even stepping on it requires lot of force. Practically lost all mechanical braking at the moment.

Service booked. But not for another week. Suggestions welcomed.

Update 1: Restarted - fault persist. Will try another couple suggestions.

Update 2: thank you Chris Cöwell for his suggestion. Problem now resolved after letting the car sleep for 20mins after restart.
Brakes now resumed and working again.

Chris original comment:
“Just stop and exit the vehicle, close the door to reset the alerts.
Wait 5 mins for the car to sleep, then you can get back in the car and it would be normal.
It happens when you shift gears too quickly with foot on the brake. I did the above and it went away and hasn’t been back.”

Been doing some filming and testing today. Sneak peak into some of the results on the Halo Blk sunshade testing.

Yes it’s better than the aliexpress ones, and guess what, on average the â€Ș@haloblk_global‬ shades lowers ambient and surface temps by 5cm degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit) - so yes it works too. Numbers don’t lie!
