Welcome! I'm Laura Kase.
A therapist turned homeschool mom. For nearly a decade, I've been homeschooling one, two, and sometimes all three of my children. Through curriculum changes, different learning styles, and various seasons of life, I've discovered that homeschooling is less about recreating school at home and more about creating a life of learning that fits your family.
This channel is for families who want to:
❤️ Prioritize connection over curriculum
🌱 Foster curiosity and lifelong learning
⏰ Design days that work in real life
🎶 Find their own unique homeschool rhythm
Here you'll find curriculum flip-throughs, honest reflections, and encouragement for every stage & season of your homeschool journey.
Because the goal isn't to replicate school at home—it's to create a life and education that fit your family.

The idea of an “emotional bank account” comes from Dr. Stephen Covey, and was later expanded upon by Dr. John Gottman in his research on relationships. It’s a way to describe how trust is built over time. Just like a real bank account, every positive interaction—kind words, listening, showing up—acts as a deposit. Negative interactions—impatience, criticism, broken promises—are withdrawals. Healthy relationships are built when we consistently make more deposits than withdrawals.
As homeschool moms, we spend more time with our children than almost anyone else.
That means we have more opportunities to make deposits—but also more opportunities to make withdrawals.
Completing our Homeschool Lessons each day matters.
Developing good Routines and sticking with them matters.
But the relationship you build with your child matters even MORE.
When children feel emotionally safe, they're more willing to take risks, ask questions, persevere through challenges, and receive correction.
This week, instead of measuring success only by completed lessons, ask yourself one question:
**Did I make more deposits than withdrawals today?**
