I'm starting to do more. I finally took my Christmas tree down and I swiffer-mopped my floor in my bedroom.
I've been daily washing dishes and and walking in my hallway (not much but something). I'm hoping to go outdoors tomorrow and at least start my car. My car has sat immobile since New Year's eve.
It may not seem long to you but I'm a daily driver and worker. This has been mentally as well as physically taxing on me. I know it's what's best for me but it's hard because I feel lazy.
I'm hoping to do a little exercise bike this afternoon with maybe some talking. I will not be showing my face (my hair looks scary). Surgery takes a toll on a person more than I remembered.

I'm home now but have been informed that I can not exercise for a week (until after follow up appointment). Then I cannot do heavy lifting for a month. Do I give up?
No way! This is just a healing time in my life. We got the worst parts over (hopefully) for 2026 and they did finally figure out what was going on. They got me for surgery right away, so that was a plus.
I will try to post photos from previous walks until I can start walking again. I'm extremely sore, on pain medication (can't drive either) and hopefully you can respect the fact that yes - I do look awful in these photos but I am human and I'm real! I will try to answer some questions but I will be resting often and healing.

My surgery went well. They removed a hernia that was causing a blockage in my stomach. Now I have to heal. I'm glad they figured out what was wrong.
