I just wanted to pop on here and say a huge thank you to everyone who left such lovely, sweet comments on my latest video - I really wasn't expecting such a warm welcome back and it has made me feel a lot better about all of my worries!

A lot of you said I should just come back and focus on the non-crime mysteries and histories for a bit and I think that's a GREAT idea, so I'm gonna do just that 😀 if you have any ideas for lower stakes mysteries and fascinating stories from history that you want me to talk about, please comment here! I'm about to come up with my plan for the next few months.

✨BIG UPDATE✨

Hi guys, just a little update that I’m planning on taking a little break from this channel for the next month or two! I’ve been uploading true crime videos here for the last SEVEN YEARS (!!) and in that time I’ve never taken a proper break, I think I’ve only missed about 6 weeks of uploads in all that time. YouTube becomes somewhat of a hamster wheel, if you miss an upload you fall off the wheel and struggle to get back on, so I’ve always been scared to step away but I am inching closer and closer to burning out, so I do need to step back for a bit. I do have one more video scheduled to go live next week though to round off the year!

I pride myself on remaining ethical and responsible within the world of true crime, I love what I do and feel it’s important, but true crime is a heavy subject to talk about week in week out, it takes up a lot of mental energy with the deep dive researching, communicating with families, and thinking about it constantly. But without clickbait and talking about solved stories, its getting harder and harder to be noticed and really make the impact that I want to be, so I want to take this time to re-evaluate how I can actually make a difference in this space and hopefully come back with a fresh perspective and a new drive!

SO TLDR: I’m taking a break from this channel, I’ll probably be back around February, but I am still going to be very active online on my other platforms - I’m also going to take this time to focus on growing my other YouTube channel on which I talk about all things books and queer, so if you’d like to still keep up with what I’m up to PLEASE go and follow me across the internet ❤️
