Why no videos? 🤔

You may have noticed that I‘ve been slow to upload videos and this is because YouTube demonetised my channel! 😭

What happened was an Adsense account was accidentally created and linked to my YouTube account, and you can’t have two Adsense accounts linked to one YouTube account (so who knows why is it even possible). I’ve spent a long time talking to YouTube support and the long story short is if you link a new Adsense account to a YouTube channel they lock this change for 32 days before you can change it back, all the while my channel is demonetised because it has 2 Adsense accounts. Apparently no one at YouTube can do anything about it and I’ve seen this has happened to many creators before and has been a known issue at YouTube for years (that they never fixed) so basically I’m stuck with a demonetised channel for over a month!

Obviously this is really frustrating because none of the videos on my channel will earn me any money (which is a slight problem when this is my full time job!) but I don’t want to leave you guys without any new videos either.

My plan:

While my channel is demonetised I’m going to post 1 new video in the Jurassic Park JWE3 series every Saturday (starting tomorrow) and I’m going to build up a backlog of videos in the background to release as soon as the monetisation is back. This also includes a new (and final!) Planet Zoo series I had started recording and planned to post this week. After this Planet Zoo series I will 100% be playing Planet Zoo 2 as soon as it releases! 🦁

Hopefully you guys understand and will stick with me through this annoying month of slowly posting videos. Fingers crossed it is resolved quickly when the 32-day period ends and I can make changes to my channel again!🤞

Frontier just sent me the cutest gift to celebrate 6 Years of Planet Zoo: an actual Zoopedia!!! As you know I love animal facts and always put them in my videos so this is such a treat for me! Thank you Frontier! ❤️ I want to also just say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who watch and enjoy my videos, you guys are the best! I hope there are many more years of Planet Zoo videos to come! 🥰🦁

Hey!! So I have been playing around with the Planet Zoo Winter Zoo for a 2nd part to the series and it has been a constant struggle to keep the zoo profitable even when lowering the difficulty of the zoo to medium (basically because it is so large and in the mountains already, expanding it further just didn’t work very well if we want fun decorated habitats) so what I think I will do is start a fresh sister-zoo to the Winter Zoo rather than continue the current one ❄️ Sorry if you were looking forward to seeing the old zoo again but I just think it’ll be much more fun to watch a new zoo get started than watch me spend most of the time just balancing the finances of a zoo that is struggling to expand on the top of a mountain 🙈⛄️

Hey! I’ve been trying to shake a flu-ey virus but it’s keeping me down so sorry the videos have been so slow coming out lately! I’m planning on finishing the Ethical Eco-Zoo series as soon as I’m feeling better and then I’m really excited to try a new sandbox series in JWE3 so I think I’ll start a fresh series in sandbox mode and also start up the Winter Zoo series in time for Christmas ☺️ Thanks for being awesome and I’ll be back with videos as soon as I can! ❤️
