(NOT DISRESPECTING OPINIONS) Comment or Share if you feel bad for Caillou and the Toxic and heartless hate he gets. (Not opinion bashing or trying to sound like a Caillou Fanboy or forcing people to like Caillou, Don’t jump in the comment section accusing me of being a Caillou Fanboy, read the whole thing below please. If you hate Caillou, your opinion is 100% handled.)


I consider this Hatedom to be the most toxic Hatedom I ever saw. No seriously, I’m fed up with this Hatedom treating this child like he’s worse than Nazi Germany and a huge punching bag (especially in the GoAnimate community) I don’t have a problem with people who hate Caillou, but some of these haters take the hate way too far. This hate has been going on ever since the show was created and I feel like it’s time to stop being quiet and say something. I will be giving a lot of reasons on why this Hatedom is super toxic. They say they’re just giving constructive criticism, but no, they’re doing the exact opposite. They say they wish he died and want him to get brutally tortured, assaulted, and murdered when that is extremely barbaric considering he’s 4 years old, They make fun of him because he is bald and they theorize and claim that he has cancer, which is extremely disrespectful and insensitive to people who have cancer or have died from it, it is also very offensive to me because I have a best friend/classmate who had cancer and only survived it by luck. The reason why Caillou is bald it’s because the creators of the show thought he would be unrecognizable if he had hair and it was to promote diversity. They also praise shows like Arthur, Dragon Tales, Bluey and worship these shows and treat them like they’re God. (Don’t get me wrong, Arthur is a good show and so is Bluey and Dragon Tales, but it isn’t good to worship them.) They have gave the show a terrible reputation and gave it a bad name. They treat his sister Rosie like a princess and act like Caillou constantly abuses her, But in most episodes they are shown playing with each other and show Caillou getting along with Rosie. Even though Caillou may get mad at Rosie sometimes, he still cares about her and loves her deeply like every sibling should. What also annoys me is that they act like they are a healthy and civilized group and act like they are way less toxic than the fandom, but no, they are far worse. (I agree the Fandom is toxic, but the Hatedom is far worse in my opinion.) They bully people who like the show and character and send death threats to people who like it, and the worst reason being they celebrated his 2nd voice actors death (Jaclyn Linetsky) and they also made very insensitive and disrespectful "jokes" about her death, WHICH IS HEARTLESS AND DISGUSTING. One of the reasons for why Caillou is universally hated is just because he threw a temper tantrum in the episode: "Caillou Joins the Circus" or when he pinched Rosie when she was a infant in "Big Brother Caillou", Speaking of which, most of them only hate it because of anything bad he did in Season 1 or the original 1997 series. Just because Caillou did a few bad things doesn’t mean he is nothing but a plain brat or a terrible human being that deserves no love, I don’t approve of his bratty behavior and I do agree him pinching Rosie was the worst thing he ever did. They also act like he acts bratty and throws tantrums in every single episode but no he doesn’t, he threw a temper tantrum only 2 times, in most episodes, he is on his best behavior and even when he acts up he learns from his mistakes. They also hate on any media that is related to Caillou just for being Caillou related, like the movie Caillou’s Holiday Movie when Caillou was actually very good and likable in the movie and other. Another thing is that they ignore any good qualities of the show like the Likable side characters, soundtrack or the good animation in Seasons 1-3. What I find really hypocritical is that they say he’s just a fictional character and it doesn’t matter if he dies, but some of these people treat Anya Forger from Spy X Family like shes a princess and treat her like she’s the cutest thing in the world and rage if people say they hate Anya Forger or say they wish Anya Forger died, and both Caillou and Anya are fictional characters. (I don’t hate Anya Forger and I do agree her hate was very heartless and I agree she doesn’t deserve to die.) They also hate him and get mad at him when he isn’t even misbehaving and is actually behaving. I would like to also clarify that Caillou already improved his behavior starting from Season 2. (He misbehaved a few times but learned his lessons which is good.) He is not bratty anymore and he improved his behavior and his parents discipline and punish him in the newer reboots/shows like the 2024 Reboot or Caillou’s New Adventures. (Which has been a major controversy discussed by lots of critics.) but for some reason they continue treating him terribly, I guess probably because they don’t care. Most of the haters are teenagers and adults or toxic kids from the GoAnimate community. There’s a whole Hate subreddit on Reddit which has a lot of toxic adult haters of the show. They make Vyond styled rants on it, They make those fill in memes on Deviantart that show fictional characters like the Loud sisters from The Loud House angry at Caillou or a fictional character denying his apology for improving his behavior and more, I just feel like these people enjoy and have fun treating Caillou like a punching bag even after he improved his behavior either because they have nothing better to do and find enjoyment of treating fictional characters like scapegoats or they’re doing it out of Pure Sadism. Yes, Caillou has done bad things in the past, but he learns his lessons every time he acts up and became a better person in recent episodes, so what are you gonna do? Are you hold those bad things against him until he dies? They’re literally doing all this to a 4 year old kid, no one deserves this type of treatment, Not Little Brown Bear, Not Barney, Not Dora, Not Daniel Tiger, Not Caillou, No one. If this is how you treat children, you don’t deserve to have children. If you don’t like a show or character and have a problem with it, give constructive criticism kindly and just ignore it or just keep silent if you have nothing nice to say. (If you hate Caillou, it’s fine, I’m just talking about the toxic side of the Hatedom.)
