Introducing OLD 52.
This is a brand new series where I go back through film history year by year and revisit the 52 most notable movies released in that year.
We're starting with 1940 — one of the greatest years in classic Hollywood.
That means we'll be diving into films like:
🎥 Rebecca 🎥 The Philadelphia Story 🎥 The Grapes of Wrath 🎥 His Girl Friday 🎥 Fantasia 🎥 and many more.
I'll be posting two Old 52 episodes every month, breaking down multiple films per episode as we explore what still works, what surprised me, and how these movies shaped cinema.

I finally checked out Project Hail Mary…
And yeah… believe the hype. 👀
This movie is funny, emotional, visually insane…
But I have to say —someone completely stole the movie.
I went into this as someone who hasn’t read the book, so
I had one big question:Does it actually work on its own?
