ā€œI didn’t have time to practise.ā€

So you didn’t take a shower all week? Didn’t make a tea or coffee? Didn’t do any housework? Didn’t drive anywhere?

Practise doesn’t always look like an hour-long session. Small habits daily - lip bubbles while you’re washing up, tongue trills while you’re making a drink, breathing exercises while shopping - all add up when you do them every day.

Small daily habits have a much bigger impact than one big gesture.

Do what most people won’t do. Choose success. Create your future.

Stay hydrated. šŸŽ¶ā¤ļø

This is why singers shy away from sharing their talent. When I get trolled I see it as a positive because I’m making an impact.

I clicked on this account and of course, it’s private! I won’t be getting into a back and forth with this account but they did boost my views by commenting and that tells the algorithm to share my video with even more singers. Plus it gives me more inspiration for more content. Winning! 😁😁

Don’t let other people’s issues stop you from shining your light. šŸŽ¶ā¤ļøšŸ’«

Luck isn’t random…

I’ve been practising the law of attraction and manifestation for a number of years, with various results. I ALWAYS get what I ask for, but not always in the ways I expect it. And in every manifestation there’s a lesson.

This isn’t about positive thinking or gratitude journalling (although gratitude plays a part) it’s about knowing what you want, need and deserve and being in the right space to receive.

Here are my top 3 recommendations for attracting ā€œluckā€:

1. Decide what you want and give it laser-sharp focus. Some days you’ll feel like giving up; other days you’ll feel in top of the world. But when you act like a gracious winner, you’ll be a winner.

2. Do one small thing every day to take you towards your goal: research a vocal technique, contact a promoter, plan your healthy meals for the week, put a percentage aside towards your next recording/ promotion/set of singing lessons.

3. Treat others with kindness but set strong boundaries. This is very important, especially in our industry.

You can do whatever you set your mind to. Make it count!

Singing has always been medicine for the soul. From lullabies to anthems, it helps us process emotion and release what words can’t.
Here’s what happens when you sing:

* Your breathing deepens
* Your nervous system calms
* Your energy rises
* Your emotions find flow again
You don’t have to be a ā€œgood singerā€ to feel this.

Singing is one of the most natural ways to embody empowerment.When your voice is strong, aligned, and expressive — your energy shifts. You stand taller. You feel grounded.
Singing for empowerment means:
* Honouring your emotions
* Expressing them safely
* Owning your story and sound
You’ll be amazed how that confidence ripples into daily life — from conversations to career moves.

This isn’t a vocal training session. It’s a chance to reconnect with your voice emotionally and energetically, in a non-judgemental way.

Join me live via Zoom on Tuesday 11th of November 7pm-8pm UK time for this free women-only session (Mixed session coming soon). Click the link to register: bit.ly/Sing2Heal

Singing 360 with Carrie Griffiths

Back in 1988, when I was 12, I was given a 3/4 size guitar and some music scores with guitar chord boxes. I think I learned 2 songs. I didn’t continue practicing beyond the summer holidays and lost interest.

When I was 17 I bought a chord book and tried again.

I’ve been learning and playing guitar on and off ever since; I play just well enough to write songs and mostly write on my piano.

Last night I played guitar in public for the second time and I was more nervous than I’ve been in many, many years.

It went ok - it was far from perfect - and soon after I finished I wanted to get up and do it again. To be fair it probably helps that I’ve been performing since I was 8 and have thousands of hours of performance experience, but playing guitar in public is a whole new ball game!

So if there’s something you’ve been working on quietly in the background, or something you want to try, give it a go. It’s never too late!
