If anybody was curious as to what the Qualcomm CRD8380X UEFI firmware menu looks like, here it is. It is completely broken (none of the options work except “Exit BDS Menu”), and it is not even accessible with a hot key (with Windows, you can only access it using the “UEFI Firmware Settings” option in the “Advanced Startup” menu). Interestingly, the menu is also displayed and interact-able over UART, which displays the error “Could not find required guided FV” when selecting any of the options.

Finally had a chance to attempt a storage upgrade on an M4 Pro Mac mini, and it ended up being a huge success! I was able to upgrade this one from 512GB to 4TB. Technically this model can support up to 8TB, but that requires use of some new 2TB NAND chips that aren’t yet available for sale (and for some reason are only used on the M4 Pro Mac mini; no other Mac model currently uses them).
