I’m actually so sick of YouTube.

YES U YOUTUBE! One my closets online bff (u may know of them by ​⁠‪@xenaezi‬ ‬) told me they were gunna go live today yesterday and I’ve been legit so on edge ever since I tried to do homework in the meantime to distract myself but I was so excited and then the time came when they were live and showed their face for the first time live. They sometime ago live ever month or two and normally don’t show their face on lives but changed it up since they were able to make a full vid with their face without being taken down. So I was literally shaking with excitement and after like 5-10 minutes, chat disabled. I was so confused I thought as typing too much but nobody else was typing as well. I had to physically call them bc they didn’t even REALISE and then for the next 20 minutes we both tried to get back live. They tried to do 3 more streams but failed since YouTube thought they were “too young?” We tried to figure out ways how to get around this but it looked like this was inescapable and left with them not even being able to go live and have chats on EVEN WITH THEIR CAMERA AND MIC OFF?? I may come off dramatic when I say I almost cried. All this worked up feeling just to be greeted with acc not being able to. We then figured out you can if ur under 18 BUT MUST HAVE A ADULT NEARBY AND THEM SPEAKING?? Look I can agree to some extent but this is a real joke. You can’t even have fun interacting with your audience, chat, show ur face or whatever without being bordered up by YouTube’s horrible “safety” By doing something so little as showing your face AND SOMETIMES ITS ONLY BC THEY “LOOK YOUNG” LIKE PEOPLE CANT CONTROL THAT?? Its like the fun was grasped out of our hands and left behind bars.

Ok I may be overreacting but I was looking forward to this stream of them for two days straight, completely on edge, if you don’t agree that’s your opinion but the amount of heartbreak I felt when there was possibly no way of avoiding this I was distraught. MAYBE INSTEAD OF TRYING TO TAKE DOWN LIVES JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD BUILT UP CONFIDENCE TO TALK WITH THEIR AUDIENCE FACE-TO-FACE THROUGH THE SCREEN YOU CAN GET RID AND DEAL OF THE DISGUSTING PEOPLE ON THIS APP. YouTube, do better. If not for us for your sake.
