I just saw a fanfic called "colour theory" starting midoriya and shinsou, and I just thought, omg:

Sunshine (yellow) + sad (blue) = green/midoriya
Anger (red) + sad (blue) = purple/shinsou

I know it's dumb but let me be

Midoriya and bakugou from MHA are both traumatised af. They both come from the toxic environment that was their middle school and it shows.
Midoriyas is more commonly looked at, he was discriminated against for over a decade, being told by everyone around him that he wasn't enough, that he wasn't worth anything, and that he would never amount to anything. (Whether intentional or not- looking at you inko midoriya) His negative self-view and lack of self-worth shows in his behaviour currently (at UA) In his self-sacrificial tendencies, he is constantly rushing in to do something with no regard for his life, and only plans when someone else is involved. He also always has to save people, and can't just let someone else do it: and yes, it is partially because he wants to help people but I also believe that it is to prove himself useful (subconciously), he cannot sit by because that means that everyone was right, even if it would be better for him to do so. Another part of this could be from his lack of self worth again, part of him believes if he tries it doesn't really matter If he fails because its better him than someone else. He doesn't seem to grasp that his teachers and mentors have an obligation to protect him and him getting hurt would be a devastating hit to them. Midoriya is currently, after only just escaping the abusive environment that was aldera, being put in another unhealthy predicament. He has a secret he must keep from everyone, even his mother - and this secret has painted a massive target on his back at 16. He is given little to no assistance, and believes that he is the soul protector of his entire school and teachers, and to an extent the entire country. He is the only one who knows and his lack of self care plays into this perfectly because he would glady give up his life to protect other people. He doesn't think to tell anyone bc his idol is making him keep this a secret. (Creepy btw all might, and I won't go into the emotional manipulation there) Because of this secret, he also cannot share what has been a huge part of his life, his quirklessness and the experiences that lead to. He refuses to acknowledge the trauma that leaves him with or the fact that it still affects him because he has a quirk now. So in his mind he isn't allowed to feel negative feelings because of that.(toxic positivity, where you don't let yourself be upset because other people have it worse, or your life could be worse)

Bakugou
I think this is less talked about, which makes me sad. But bakugou also comes from he same toxic background/environment that was aldera, even though it affected them differently. Bakugou was told throughout his life that his quirk would make him a great hero, and that he was better than others because of it. He (of course) Believed and internalised this, as well as the indirect idea that hurting people less than you is okay when you are strong, and that if you don't fight back yourself, you cannot rely on others to help because they won't. (No one ever helped the kid he bullied and harassed) Bakugou pushes himself to be his best always, because he doesn't want to lose the praise, and seen as weak because not being at the top anymore means that he will be just as 'worthless' as those that were below him. He pushes himself that extra mile because he doesn't trust teachers or friends to help him improve, or protect him because no ever helped the weaker kids at aldera. He's careful about letting people close, especially when he isn't certain that he is the best at UA, because he doesn't know how they will react to him being weak, and all he has to base off of it how weak children were treated at middle school and they were put down further, they were easy prey, and he does not want to believe he is useless.
He constantly feels the need to improve, to be better, to prove his worth because he feels inadequate. And he believes that if anyone else can see that inadequacy he will be tossed aside. But despite all of his fighting to prove himself, its because he believes that he is worthless because that is what aldera instilled in him: you either fight back and win, or you're as good as dead.

This affects them both so much and NEITHER OF THEM UNDERSTAND BECAUSE THEY ARE CHILDREN. (Looking at you, all might )
Bakugou knows he doesn't want to hurt Midoriya anymore, and feels horrible about what he did, but still doesn't understand the full affect it had on him (neither does midoriya) because as far as they both understand, he has a quirk now so he shouldn't feel useless, or less than. He shouldn't feel upset or be reminded by past actions because they aren't happening anymore.

Midoriya knows that bakugou blames himself for all mights retirement, that bakugou is at his breaking point in their fight, but he doesn't understand it. Because to midoriya, you blame yourself and despise yourself and push yourself to be better but you just accept that, you continue on knowing that you are a fuckup, that you are worthless and you couldn't save someone and continue. He doesn't understand how that could eat someone up because to him that was his natural state of being for a long time, so to blame yourself for everything is nothing to be this upset about.

I really want a 'todoroki family reacts' video where they look into the fact that shouto's siblings genuinely don't know anything about him, so to see how cold he can be and be reminded of their father and that they weren't there: or to see his likes and dislikes, how other people talk about his daddy issues (fandom stuff) ect and just be shocked and appaled that they didn't know any of this. Like I fully imagine fuyumi crying because she can't remember his smile, or endeavor noticing his sons personality for the first time outside of his 'rebellion' or 'abused child'. Or even watch him saving people on his own and explore the idea that he might not have even wanted to be a hero, and he doesn't know he has a choice (like, at first it was because his father told him that heroism was the only possible career and now because in his mind if he doesn't become a hero he will lose all of his friends and thus his happy place)

I created this au for a reaction video a while ago and I think I might keep most of it as my actual technoblade backstory (minus the toga talk and quirk mention) what do you think?

*exerpt*
Quirks were incredibly rare, but they did exist. Most stories of quirked people were bent and frayed until they became myths and legends. Including Toga's ancestor, the blood god.

Technoblade is a distant ancestor of toga, back when quirks were rare. He experienced a similar mental state, of quirk induced psychosis.

His quirk required blood to activate, and changed his appearance depending on the amount. At his worst he transformed into a full hoglin, when his kill count had been in the millions. He was kidnapped and forced to fight death matches in an arena for most of his teen years (9-21). He was unaware of his quirk until his 40th kill, when his eyes turned black with white irises. When it was awakened it left him craving blood. This unfortunately paid well in his circumstances and led to him being a terrifying enemy and thoughtless killer.

The only thing that kept him sane was his younger sister, who did not have a quirk. He would be thrown into the pit for days on end, and when he got too powerful or violent, they locked him with his sister to force him calm. This worked until they left him a little too long. The more he kills and subsequently transforms, the lower his brain functions and the more brutal his attacks. Once he got to a certain point  (the 'ideal') he would kill without hesitation, in gory and inhumane ways but still remain functioning enough to understand blackmail and threats.

He was thrown into his sisters cell one night after a rampage, and murdered her. Technoblade soon spiralled out of control, both from the grief of his sister and his handlers no longer having a way to calm him down or revert that transformation. He escaped in a later attempt, taking the lives of 835 guards and 474 civilians. (1309)

He stayed on the loose for years, his quirk's more or less full activation left him immortal and un-aging for an innominate amount of time. The quirks need for blood - after the most kills he had ever committed in rapid succession, to near starvation drove him to insanity. Created voices in his head to goad him into doing as it pleased, uncaring of the affect.

He met Philza Minecraft. A man who helped him with his desperation and taught him other ways to feel, which was some of the reason he had become addicted in the first place.
Phil would be his best friend and only companion for years to come, they raided villages and countries, took what they pleased and earned just as much. They created a country together, in Antarctica creating the antarctic empire.

And so on and so forth.

Hey you guys, I'm working on a Butterfly reign react video and a lot of it requires feedback. I've never done anything like this and I want to create something you'll ultimately enjoy! So I'm making part one right now and I was wondering.. should I get straight into reacting to dsmp characters or preface with some butterfly reign stuff?
