When I started the channel, my content was mostly based around Subnautica and Dinosaurs, but ever since I've started releasing Godzilla related videos, things haven't changed.
Should I stick to the same formula? Or should I expand to different avenues of content?
I know I haven't made a video in a span of six months this year, but 2024 has been the most game changing year for the channel. I remember the year before being extremely proud of having 300 subscribers, and now we're nearing 9k!
Looking forward to making more videos in the new year...
Woke up to see that my Minus One Roar video has officially reached one million views!!! I never would have thought that one video would get this many views, but it did. All thanks to you lot!!!
So I've been thinking, an avatar might help with the growth of the channel (hopefully), so I'm currently drawing concepts for my character shown in my channel pfp, I also don't have a proper name for him as of now, I'm thinking 'Star Rex' but maybe you guys have suggestions?
Also you can tell I have a long way to go to make a good looking avatar but we'll get there!
Just saw Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire!!! Here are my initial reactions:
This film has the most Kaiju I have ever seen in one movie. And each action set piece feels unique and entertaining. And I know that a lot of people are not going to like the cartoony vibe of this film, but I find that it really hearkens back to the Showa era of Godzilla, which I loved.
The human characters weren't nearly as bad as I thought they were going to be. Imo, they're the most funny characters we've gotten so far.
Of course, this film isn't perfect, it's got its issues with its paces and some decisions with its characters, but as of now, I'm pleasantly surprised with this film.
More of my thoughts will be shown later in my review that I'll hopefully get done soon, but while I make that, what did you guys think of this latest addition to the Monsterverse?
There's news of a twitter user who apparently spoke to a few movie critics in the early screenings of GXK, who called it an average Monsterverse movie and how it's not as good as Godzilla Minus One.
I'm bringing this up because I find it wrong to compare such different films with such different purposes. Yes, I doubt that Godzilla X Kong will be better than Minus One, but that doesn't mean it won't be amazing. I'm still pumped to see the film, and I think these films should peacefully co-exist, not be compared to each other.
I'm seeing GXK a couple days after it's release date, hopefully I can get my review of it around that time.
