SIADH, or Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion, is a condition where the body produces too much antidiuretic hormone (ADH). This causes the kidneys to retain too much water, leading to a low level of sodium in the blood (hyponatremia) and diluted blood plasma. Symptoms range from nausea and headaches to confusion, seizures, and coma in severe cases.
*Common and mild symptoms:-
Nausea or vomiting
Headache
Fatigue or sluggishness
Muscle cramps, twitching, or weakness
Loss of appetite
Feeling of imbalance or gait disturbances
Irritability
*More severe symptoms:-
Confusion, disorientation, or memory impairment
Personality changes
Hallucinations
Seizures
Stupor or coma
