I am sharing my answers from when I applied to another company as an SSW caregiver. These were some of the possible questions that I needed to write notes about. I answered them based on my experiences and my feelings. Since I worked in a group home unit, you may notice that some of the answers are related to GH (Group Home) situations.
I hope this can give you some ideas if you are planning to resign as well. I’m not encouraging anyone to resign, but please think carefully and analyze your situation first.

⚠️ Long post ahead
Grabe gyud ang roller coaster sa akong life abroad (Japan) back then as a resigned SSW Kaigo 🫣😁

April 2025 – May 2025
Thinking many times of resigning from my previous company/facility in Aichi. Dili gyud ko mag-resign kay mag-agwanta nalang ko sa 12–13 lapad tedori, nga zero yakin. If naa koy 5–6 times yakin, ang tedori kay 15 lapad. 🥹murag di matabang sweldoha, pun an pas shared house nga ambut nalang , akong mental health 👎

June 2025
Finally decided to resign. I applied to two companies, but walay POLO accreditation, so padayon gihapon kog pangita ug possible ways. 💪

July 2025
Applied to another kumiai. Underwent interviews—first, second, and final—then received good news ✅💫

August 2025
Preparing requirements for tenshoku, medical, and others. At the same time, I applied for the Kaigofukushishi exam (Jan 2026) 😞
(Not ready gyud ko, pero gi-encourage ko sa manager and she kept asking me to take the chance. I insisted nga 2 years and 5 months pa lang akong kaigo experience, but she said it was fine—so I applied.)
That same month, I also submitted my resignation letter 😢

September 2025
Last month of duty in the Aichi facility.

October 2025
Moved to Kanagawa. Daghan kaayong paperwork, tambay mode, and gastooo kaayooo is real 😪💪🤞 Struggle gyud.

November 2025
Hilak-hilak oyy 😭 DMD ang new facility, pero laban gihapon. Ngano bitaw nag-resign2x ko?
(Current facility is a rehabilitation shisetsu with 40 patients, unlike before nga group home ra with 9 patients.)

December 2025
Took the JLPT N2 for the 3rd time. Still coping with the new facility. Kapoy kaayo sa gibati—murag walay nag-care or naka-remember nako anymore (charr 😅).
Napuno ug drama akong December 2025 😪
Plus, worried kaayo ko kay walay voucher for the Kaigofukushishi exam (Jan 25, 2026).

January 2026
Finally received the voucher and yes—I took the licensure exam, but failed.
JLPT result: failed pud.

Anyway… sakit, lisod, ug pait—but kayanon gyud ni. Worth it gihapon ang Japan para nako. 🥹😔
