Itβs a simple as taking a cutting from a friend or a pumpkin from the fruit shop and putting the seed/stem in some good quality soil. This can be soil you learn to cultivate your self through a home compost. Everyone in the family can get involved! We aim to make our own garden of Eden. Back to basic suburban homesteading.

Slow cooked apple cores and apple leftovers with cinnamon and cloves make a great ice cold apple cider treats. You can also drink it hot straight from the slow cooker.

Itβs been a wonderful couple of weeks leading up to Christmas. Everyday seems completely full; harvesting, food prepping, learning, daily trials and challenges and then the appreciation of the little wins. This year we opted for a simple, yet profound Christmas altar. Putting away all the baubles and bling, the tree and the tinsel. We intentionally sought to reminded ourselves of first things first. Something of little appeal to most. The simplicity, yet the awe and wonder. It has been priceless to shift our focus from ourselves and what we want to others and the thought of what He might want. All in all itβs His Birthday, so it follows that itβs about His presents. The gift of Himself to others.
