I’m Zak Korvin, an English artist living in the Sacred Valley, Perú.
Over the years I’ve found drawing mandalas and sacred geometry to be extremely useful in reducing anxiety and just feeling way better mentally overall. I feel like I’m tapping into something cosmic that I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe you feel the same?
I’m passionate about geometric art, but not just because I like to make pretty patterns. If I wanted to do that I’d use a computer. When I’m drawing geometry I become fully immersed and the world disappears for a moment. As cliché as it sounds it’s all about the journey, not the destination.
The videos I post here are what I'm working on and things I've been thinking about, mainly things I want to remind myself to do in my art and in life.

I wanted to draw the Sigillum Dei.
But I thought I’d better investigate it first to make sure I didn’t summon any demons.
Turns out it’s a really good symbol and nothing to be afraid of.
A seal of protection.
Where did this myth come from that pentagrams are bad?
It’s almost as if they don’t want us to have our own power.
I’m noticing a pattern here.

🌙 November's Moons 🌙
What's up in November? We've got the Taurids meteor shower but that's probably going to be washed out by the Supermoon. Luckily, the Leonids aren't far behind. And on the 21st, Uranus will be on full display for everyone to see with its closest approach to Earth this year.
Some things to look out for in the sky this month:
November 4, 5 - Taurids Meteor Shower.
November 5 - Full Moon, Supermoon.
November 17, 18 - Leonids Meteor Shower.
November 20 - New Moon.
November 21 - Best time to look at Uranus.
November 29 - Mercury retrograde ends.
