*Kick back and lets talk some facts*

Many of you know my history in the gig space. If you don’t my channel has everyone on there from being a founding member of Para, to the gig news website, to the audio podcast, CEO guests, working with smaller companies to help make sure they are meeting the standards we as independent contractors are afforded by LAW in EVERY state in this country, other social media outlets, and in 2021 I came to YouTube. My message has been clear and HEARD by many. In the state of Colorado I worked with House of Representative member Stephanie Vigil and the Drivers Rights Movement (David Pickerell and myself) starting in 2022 to bring transparency to the gig economy. Her first bill did not pass into law. In 2023 we broke the bill into 2 bills, one for Rideshare and one for Delivery (you can find every fact on these now LAWS on my channel).

In 2023 Gig Con was originally planned for Nashville, many of you probably remember this. The ‘so-called’ planner who organized, if you can call it that, put it off so long that it did not come together. Having done the first gig con FAILURE in St. Louis, and the cyber-gig con, with this person it is NO shocker that Nashville fell apart. Many of you will remember I had started planning a white water rafting trip in beautiful Buena Vista Colorado. Gary Middleton (GarysApps.com) was helping me with organizing the planning and we had 2 large houses and were going to be able to accommodate 40 people. We had filled the 40 people and I was asking friends in Buena Vista about a 3rd house because more people wanted to come. It was going to be 3 awesome days in the mountains, with a Town Hall scheduled one of the days at a friends restaurant in the city of Buena Vista.

After the Nashville Gig Con, the ‘so-called’ planner told me he was going to do it in Colorado (FULL well knowing we had people lined up for what would have been an amazing weekend). This persons favorite quote during each gig con planning was, “I do my best work under pressure”. Which meant Steve you handle everything. If you need to verify that ask @HannibalisHungry. Basically knowing he dropped the ball and pretended to make this look like a great event. So, Gary and I cancelled the amazing plans in the mountains and decided to do the Town Hall in Denver the day after Gig Con 2023. Gig Con was a complete FAILURE again. LUCKILY the Town Hall event was off the chart. Gig Con NEVER had as gig workers in the room he rented for the event as there were vendors there. The Town Hall had food, drinks, 3 rooms in the historic Denver location (Wash Park Grill). We were packed and people took the mic and spoke for 3-5 minutes each. Senator Kevin Priola and House member Stephanie Vigil both attended the event and were there the entire time. Amazing event!

In a recent video the ‘so called’ planner of gig con referred to a few things that we NEED to set the record straight on.

1. ‘So called’ planner made ALL his connections for vendors for all gig cons through me.
2. In this video he claims he gave me $1,000 for the event, which he did— but we ABSOLUTELY must discuss the parts he left out.
3. Forget about virtual gig con, it’s not worth mentioning, but gig con 1 & 2 both had three vendors all donating $3,000 for gig con 1 and one of those vendors (MOVES financial) donating $5,000 for gig con 2.
4. Gig Con 2 meeting that I brought the ‘so-called’ planner into to help him raise sponsor money with MOVES financial, my friend Matt Spoke who was the CEO/Founder of Moves, said in a meeting that he was putting $5,000 towards BOTH events.
5. I told the ‘so called’ planner that I only needed $2,000 total for the room, food, drinks at the Town Hall. The remainder of which was to go to funding Gig Con ($7,000).
6. When it came time for me to make the deposit on the room I told the ‘so called’ planner, I needed the $2,000. He replied, “Remind what you need this for”.
7. The problem this person ran into was he rented the top floor of an old beat up hotel outside downtown Denver, and the hotel charged him $5,000 (he says).
8. After telling the person you were supposed to give me half the sponsor money from MOVES for the town hall. The excuses started flying. He was so unorganized it was ridiculous.
9. Ended up he sent me $1,000 if you are all following you are seeing he had already scammed his way out of $2,500 which I said $2,000 was going to work. Then he needed more due to his extremely poor organizational skills and late planning. He basically spent $7,000 on a waste of everyone’s time.
10. Luckily I know the people at Wash Park Grill so they worked with me on the deposit and David from Para stepped in and produced the $1,000 we needed for the REAL event that weekend.
11. So if you heard HE gave me $1,000 you can now see how manipulative and deceitful he was.
12. The events both happened Gig Con $7,000 AND Town Hall super success $2,000.

ALMOST DONE HERE FOLKS STICK WITH ME.

As if that was not bad enough the first gig con in St. Louis also had $9,000 sponsor budget.
1. This person rented part of a park for a few hours, extremely minimal cost to put on.
2. There was no indoor event or after the few hours in the park for that single day event.
3. IN FACT the after the park event, WE (Para) hosted at a house David rented and the ‘so-called’ planner attended as well.
4. He thanked David and I for providing the house for the after event.
5. By the way, the ‘so-called’ planner ALWAYS hated Para, until Para gave him $3,000 for his event in the park.
6. Always boggled my mind how quick he liked Para once they gave him a $3,000 check.
7. Why am I bringing this 1st gig con up?
8. DOES anyone think that 30-40 people in a park eating would cost $9,000?
9. Where did the money go?
10. I have done several events in my life and NEVER have I not shown the sponsors where the money went.
11. NO receipts event breakdown details were provided to any of the vendors (Para, Buckle, and Solo were the 3 sponsors of Gig Con 1)

There was a point during 2022 into early 2023 I did not think this person was as deceitful as he really is. I was going to tell you about the other lies he is said in the referenced video but I will let you the readers decide for yourself what I have done for the gig community. Please feel free to make a list of what the ‘so-called’ planner has done for this community. Guessing we are all on the same page.

With that said, I have not watched this persons content in almost 2 years. I should NOT have to explain why, it should be very clear. I am currently working with lawmakers, sitting congress members, Independent contractor groups, and many others all around the country trying to get some things straightened out before the mid term elections in November. So I am going back to ignoring anything this ‘so-called’ planner says, so I can help where I can which is actually consuming a decent amount of my time.

The reality is myself and MANY others are ALL UNIFIED in a fight for transparency on gig apps. A right which MUST be afforded to independent contractors. So I will be fighting the gig apps and working with lawmakers and their assistants. I will NOT be engaging in any other YouTube NONSENSE from the ‘so-called’ planner. You all can decide for yourselves what the reality is here.

Have a wonderful and safe week, come on by the Rodeo anytime— we are getting things done all the time with a REAL track record to show for it.

Peace, Love, and Happiness y’all
