The Yellow Bird

Hello! My next video will be coming out on December 21! It's a little different from my usual educational content. I needed a break from more research-intensive projects before the holidays, so I made a cozy little vlog for the winter holidays...

I have more educational content planned for the new year that I'm very excited to share with everyone, but I could also use your help! There are a couple of series on my channel, the Backyard Friends and Red List Friends, that I would like my audience's input on. What animals are your backyard friends (animals local to your area that are commonly found living amongst people/in cities)? And what endangered species would you like to see covered on the Red List Friends? Please let me know, as I now have a list of your video ideas that I'll pull from for content going forward!

The Yellow Bird

Hello there! I wanted to express my gratitude towards the outpouring of support for my last video about endorheic lakes. The video has taken off and it is such a delight to read people's thoughts and feedback towards my content. I'm truly so thankful that this is beginning to become a little community of like-minded curious folk, and I hope we can continue to foster something together :) Thank you so much!

Below are some random images from winter last year for *visual interest*

Hello! Here are some bison I was lucky enough to photograph on a farm a few years back.

I'm in the process of scripting my next couple videos, which will be coming out later this month. In the meantime, here is an article on North America's prairies and how they've become one of the most endangered ecosystems on earth. Click the link below to read more!

The Yellow Bird

Hello!

I've got some new things in the works for this channel, but it's been a while since I've given y'all an update. Here's what's in the works:

First, my website is finally up again after some updates and maintenance! I'm going to be more active on my blog, including expanding on videos with information that couldn't fit into the final cut. I also have colouring sheets and more content that can't be found on YouTube, you can check that out here: theyellowbird.ca/

Second, I'm working on a larger project that is taking a while, but I think it'll be worth the wait... I'm hoping to have it out by early April. In the meantime, an excerpt from this project will be coming out in the next couple of weeks (enjoy the sneak peeks attached).

Lastly, thank you so much for the support and being part of this little community! I really appreciate the support and love to read your thoughts in the comments. If there's any topics or segments you're curious about that you think I'd cover well, feel free to recommend them to me.

Thank you and have a lovely day :)
