Ecocentric Homestead, a four acre property on the northeast coast of the Island of Newfoundland, Canada.
A true sustainable food forest is a garden disguised forest and blends with the local ecosystem.
While I build my food forest here, I report on techniques, skills and information as I research and implement them my self.
Techniques for growing your own food and obtaining energy for your homestead.
Skills in tool maintenance and food preparation.
Information on how to analyze your resources and wild foraging.
My area is a very unique place with respect to climate. It is considered a "Boreal" Rain forest Biome. We have a winter of plant hardiness zone 5a and a summer of plant hardiness zone 3, with lots of wind, rain and cloud.
