After a powerhouse performance in Eastern Condors, Joyce Godenzi starred in a handful of movies to show off her talents. Unfortunately her star never got to shine as bright as it should have done, but the future Mrs. Sammo Hung made a few great action movies during the late 80's/early 90's. One of which is She Shoots Straight, directed by Corey Yuen, which I will be looking at next. Review coming soon.

Some more Jackie Chan next for you guys, going to be taking a look at “Twin Dragons” made in 1992 and directed by Tsui Hark & Ringo Lam. Say what you will about the movie as whole but you have to admit the action in it is pretty damn good, hey it’s the one where Jackie runs over the top of a moving car!! Review coming soon.

I have barely scratched the surface with Andy Lau films, so let’s take a look at one of his most iconic and signature movies and that’s “A Moment of Romance” made in 1990 and directed by Benny Chan, with Johnnie To producing. Loads to say about this one as it’s such an iconic Hong Kong movie and considered by many to be an absolute classic. Review coming soon.

Carrying on with some more Hong Kong movies now, going to be having a look at Ronny Yu's “The Postman Fights Back” or The Postman Strikes Back, made in 1982. Loads of stars in this one from Cherie Chung, Eddy Ko, Fan Mei-sheng and of course Bryan “Beardy” Leung Kar-yan. We have ninja, a great cast, action by some of the Yuen Clan…….oh and Chow Yun-fat is in it too. Review coming soon.

Ok so let’s really mix things up shall we? Going to be looking at the first part in the Yokai Monsters Trilogy next and that’s “100 Monsters” made back in 1968. So are you up to speed on your spirits and ghosts concerning Japanese folklore? No? Well let’s take a look at the movie anyway 😉 Review coming soon.

Keeping with that theme of classic horror movies, I thought we would take a look at one of my all time favourites and that’s “Night of the Demon” made in 1957, otherwise known as Curse of the Demon. I have been a fan of this film for many years and is often considered one of the best horror movies of all time. Review coming soon.

So aside from The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974) that I reviewed ages ago, I haven’t really looked at any other Hammer Horror movies. I only started with that one first as it was kung fu related….obviously 😉 But let’s have a look at “The Gorgon” next, made a full ten years before. Review coming soon.

How many of you remember the horror monster movie that is Prophecy (1979) Starring Talia Shire? You know, the one with the mutant bear? Maybe you were too busy watching Alien released the same year. Anyway, that’s what we are going to be looking at next, a horror movie with an environmental message…..now there’s a thing.

Ok, so going to be looking at the first part of the original TV miniseries of Stephen King’s IT next guys, made all the way back in 1990. This scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, mainly due to Tim Curry’s fantastic and terrifying performance as Pennywise......as if him as Darkness in Ridley Scott’s Legend (1985) didn’t freak me out enough back then haha. Review coming soon.
