At Holy Family University, our student-athletes take the lead on and off the field. In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day this past weekend, our women’s athletic teams hosted their third annual community sports clinic. It was an incredible day for young girls to have the opportunity to learn new sports from our female student-athletes while building confidence and community.

We are constantly inspired by our students' commitment to excellence and their dedication to giving back to the community. You are all powerhouses today and every day!

Campus Construction Update 🚧

Progress continues across campus as key projects move forward to enhance our facilities and support our academic mission.

From punch list progress at the Field House to major infrastructure work at the Welcome Center, each project reflects our continued investment in strengthening campus spaces for students, faculty, and staff. Field House updates include improvements to concessions, locker rooms, training areas, and key mechanical systems as final details come together.

At Newtown West, momentum continues with Nursing spaces nearing completion, and furniture installations already in place, while courtyard planning moves forward into the pricing phase. Future-focused projects for NEB and the First Gen Center remain in active planning, shaping the next phase of campus growth.

🎨 Student Artwork Feature: Melanie Payano

We are proud to showcase Chronophobia, a powerful piece by Studio Art junior Melanie Payano, now on display in the School of Arts & Sciences main office (HFH 323). Created using oil and mixed media on canvas, this work explores the emotional experience of time and vulnerability through striking visual storytelling.

“This painting communicates the emotional weight of chronophobia, the fear of time, not just as a concept but as a lived experience. The figure’s upward gaze reflects an awareness of time’s presence, as if she is watching it move above her, unable to stop or control it, and with mercy. The surrounding clocks convey the idea that time is enormous and limitless, which makes one feel vulnerable and small in comparison.” — Melanie
