Kirby's BBQ
My name is Shawn Jones & I started Kirby’s Barbecue because growing up I had the privilege of learning & eating; “Mostly eating” my papa Kirby’s world-famous BBQ. Growing up I heard stories of him competing and winning BBQ cookoff contests in Kansas “where we are originally from.” Papa Kirby moved to Spring, Texas later in life & I remember summers of fun in the pool and BBQ in the smoker. When I was younger, as I mentioned I mostly ate the BBQ but as I got older, I moved from the pool to the BBQ pit so I could start learning how to make it myself. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with making BBQ. My Grandpa passed away in 2016, but his legacy will live on through the foods and flavors that he taught me to make. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
