It’s funny how a big focus in Breaking Bad is Walt’s pride, even at one point he acknowledges he’s “probably” going to hell, considering that the guy who his pseudonym is from pretty much acknowledges that science should lead you to God.
Just like how Death Note is a story about a godless serial killer commiting the sin of murder and indulging in becoming a false god, Breaking Bad which weirdly mirrors its story, is the story of a broken and godless man twisted by indulging in his sin, in this case, both the sin of murder (Killing Emilio and Krazy-8, which tipped him over the edge) and the dream becoming a drug kingpin.
These characters rationalize their actions like any normal person would. “I’m doing it to make the world a better place.” in Light’s case and “I’m doing it for my family.” in Walter’s case. These characters are repeatedly reminded of why what they’re doing is wrong but in their arrogance and delusion they are physically incapable of recognizing their own sin.
After all, how can you expect to be saved if you don’t even believe you’re a sinner?
People often say it’s wrong to idolize fictional characters (You shouldn’t really idolize anyone but Christ but that’s a separate rant) like Walter White and Light Yagami but their reasons for it are often incredibly secular. Without God and objective morality, there really isn’t any *real* reason for why these characters are evil. But with God being real, with the acknowledgment of the conviction of the Holy Spirit, it becomes clear to us why these people are evil.
It’s their repeated rejection when convicted up until their very last breath that damns them in one way or another.
Death Note tries to waive this in its writing, inventing the whole “You can’t go to heaven or hell” thing with the Death Note. The manga even rejects the existence of God. It’s rather disturbing how the writers of this series seem to both acknowledge and reference Christian and even write Christian principlies into the show while refusing to outright acknowledge it. Sorta like the false god they created as protagonist.
If such an item were real, you would absolutely go to hell for using it.

There is an intentional distinction that I need to make regarding my writings and the way I refer to God.
First, it’s important to note that what I write isn’t scripture unless I’m literally citing a verse from scripture. In which case, that scripture and that scripture alone, which is gospel, should be taken as such.
Second, when I use the word King in capital letters, this is not blasphemy. King is a title, and that title does not belong to God alone. Our Lord is the King of Kings. This implicitly means that we ought to have Kings that rank below him.
Third, when using the word lord I am deliberate in how I use it. Lowercase “lord” is merely using the word itself or refering to the medieval title, or it’s in reference to a false god. The same goes for the usage of god vs God, the ladder being in reference to our Lord, the former usually being a description of false gods (Think Ego from Guardians of the Galaxy, a fictional example of a false god who weirdly seems to acknowledge it, perhaps because marvel didn’t want to step on toes.), as the Bible does this when speaking of false gods like Ba’al. Although I will capitalize the name of those false gods. This is just proper syntax since that’s how names work. It isn’t at all acknowledging authority of false gods. Lord is in reference to God’s title of Lord, and LORD is in reference to His name, which is Jehovah. But both Lord and LORD mean God.
As Christians, it’s not a sin to simply describe a “god” or “lord” of a false religion as such as long as you do not capitalize l or g. If it werr a sin, then the Old Testament authors would be commiting a sin when they were writing about the gods of the caananites. They did not worship these gods, but they had to describe them as what they were. At least to those that worshipped them.

Heil Jehovah. Christ is King. Praise be unto Him. May He destroy the daemons on the day of judgment (daemondammerung and the second coming of Christ) and may my soul be delivered to heaven not through my works but through the faith and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the work He did on the cross.
When the heavens fall and the moon turns red and the skies go black, may His will be done there and thereafter. May the new heaven and the new earth be ruled over by Christ. May New Jerusalem descend and may His millenial reign be made manifest. May His Eternal Reality be brought before us, and may we partake in His sacrements. Not out of necessity for salvation, but out of worship to Him.
For we are His chosen ones, sanctified through the New Covenant, sealed by the Blood of Christ.
May the works salvationists be dealt with. May the false religions of the world be defeated. May the satanic "new world order" be defeated as well.
Glory to the High King, the King of Kings, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He is Risen!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
(Let justice be done, though the world perish.)
Amen.
