I have officially been priced out of Warhammer.

With the recent price increases, it’s almost impossible to build the armies I want to play. I’ve been wanting to do an Imperial Guard army for battle reports. I bought some Kasrkin a few weeks ago to start and finally painted them up, only to realize I’m gonna have to pay an arm and a leg to complete the rest of the army.

But thankfully though, I got these Kasrkin, and a whole lot more, for ONE-TENTH of what GW priced these miniatures at. Even though they’re RESIN, they still look amazing once you’ve painted them up, almost like the real thing. Guess I’ll be ordering more from now on :)

Since GW is no longer supporting Crusade, I will.
11th Edition of Warhammer 40k has launched, and Crusade is no longer a part of it. And Warhammer Community has since removed the rules from their website.

If you'd like to continue playing the 10th Edition incarnation of Crusade, I have uploaded a copy of the rules to my Google Drive, along with an Order of Battle template.

I'm working on revamping the rules to create a Crusade Community Edition. I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions for what you'd like to see. Now that Crusade is in the hands of the community, we can shape it to be whatever we want it to be.

The Dominatus cards look great for casual narrative games.
Maybe not for Crusade-style campaigns, but if you just wanna play a cool game over the weekend, you could use these cards in lieu of Battle Honors. They even have Location rules if you want to spice up your battlefields.

Cos we all know you're gonna forget the rules halfway through the game if you don't have something physical in front of you.

Is Crusade gone from 11th Edition?

I've heard some talks speculating that the Dominatus campaign system is replacing Crusade, since the reveal stream didn't say anything about it. But it's still too early to tell. After all, this Dominatus campaign system could function similarly to Crusade: Armageddon's campaign system.

But if Crusade as we know it is gone, I will preserve it.
The XP, Battle Honors and faction Crusade systems can exist independently from missions and campaign systems.

But as always, only time will tell.

Engagement Range is now 2"
That seems a little brutal to me, even though I play melee armies. Overrun Fights also means you can drag lots of targets into combat. The balance seems to be tipping too far in favor of melee armies in my opinion.

Quite disappointed with the new Vanguard Veteran mini...
It's got no personality. It's far less ornate than the older kit. You'd be better off kitbashing your own Vanguard Veteran.
