Why You Never Give Up. 

Just a quick mention on my once lead auto tech in Millsboro, Matt. I talked about his story prior and how he lost his leg in an accident, went through two years of hell trying to save it then going through rehab. There was no way to have him in the service bay and his attempt at service writing proved too much for him due to the stationary conditions that role has.

So with the help of a very good friend of mine and President of Donate Delaware, who's mission is to supply medical equipment and supplies to those with need, Matt and I are launching, "Matt's Wheelchair Rescue" as a small business that will work on behalf of the non-profit, where Matt will be using his skills to recondition the various types of motorized chairs so they can be put back in service.

The young man that I had sought out to run an auto shop is now in charge of running a mobility shop. He said to me, "I think I found my calling". No, he just didn't give up and before he knew it, "got called". He will use his own nightmarish experience to assist others that have traveled the same path. He is super excited and we're starting off with 23 chairs to repair.

Never think you can't do something. Never give up. Never think you can't help because we're all in this together.

On February 4th, Team Buckley's Auto Care enjoyed an amazing day at the Polar Plunge to help support the Special Olympics and their Athletes. Yes, it was COLD, but well worth it as we raised over $2800 which helped contribute to the $1.5 Million raised totally by the event. The water and air temperature hovered around 41 degrees and that might sound "not so cold" but your body wasn't feeling that. IT WAS FRIGID! Thank you to all that contributed and encouraged us to get wet.

As we have just learned, our local Newark Delaware CarMax store is closed. It was announced that all CarMax stores across the country have closed for the duration of the stay at home orders that each state is implementing. No worries, Buckley's can assist you in all repairs, paper work and rental car when you need it.
