I got a message from Nikodem Marek a while back about meeting up in Prague with him and Karol Malecki to film a little interview. They both had driven nearly 7 hours from Warsaw to meet me in the Czech Republic when I was on tour. We only had a few hours together and spent it walking around Vyšehrad Cemetery, smoking cigarettes and talking about art. We were not only fast friends, but something in our conversations and parallel thinking felt like our spirits were already entwined. Those are the minutes I live for. I’m seeing more and more that we’re not on this planet for anything colossal. I think it’s quite the opposite actually. We’re here to laugh, listen, and feel the wind on our skin. The success of a life isn’t in the grandeur, but in the overwhelming beauty of the ordinary. Don’t be fooled. You already hold the world in the palm of your hand.
