Hmm is this enough EM for Shinobu?

Ok we have the Lauma Banner 4*s revealed (although they already showed that during the Nod Krai LiveStream lol but here's the official official reveal). Let's go through them.

I just wanna reiterate my main point about Nahida v Lauma: Most of the Meta players will be prioritising Lauma 'coz Bloom teams have been traditionally considered more Meta than Quicken teams so if that's what you know you're gonna play then go get Lauma. I just feel like for a more complete package Nahida is a perfectly fine choice especially if you're a big Quicken head like me.

Before we talk about these 4*s, you should probably know that BLOOM SELF DAMAGE IS APPARENTLY GETTING NERFED meaning you don't need *as much* healing to survive a Nilou Team.

And with that, let's talk about Barbs, Shinobu and Kaveh.

I don't play with Barbs at all. In the grand scheme of things she's the most basic bare-bones option for a Hydro Healer in the game. You can run her in a Nilou team (preferably with a Dendro Melee character) and she'll function just fine. But if you have Kokomi or Yao Yao or a litany of other healers, Barbs pretty much gets benched immediately IMO.

Unless you're one of those psychotic DPS Barbara Players in which case: you are feared among the community.

Meanwhile, I had just put out a Short about Shinobu and how it seems like I had quite underestimated her - she can heal Furina teams wth the right rotation (starting with Shinobu and cycling around). So my opinion of her is a lot better now. But still - I barely play her outside of AlHaitham and Tighnari Quickbloom teams.

Which means she's a big recommendation for most of y'all who are also big Bloom players 'coz she's the 2nd fastest Bloom Trigger character in the game (can you guess who the 1st is? That's right: Dori) so she's pretty easy to run in all the various Hyperbloom and Hyperbloom-adjacent teams y'all love so much. If you can: Sniping her C2 is pretty important (+3s on her Skill) but if you can go all the way to her C6 that can both a) come in handy and b) potentially be something for you to play to.

So yeah - seeing Shinobu here is good for most folks who were either super unlucky or are a little newer to the game. But you'll need to farm Spectres to level her up - an enemy type famously annoying as hell to fight.

And finally we have Kaveh. Here's the deal: Kaveh is going to be in a much better spot than he's ever been in his entire legal life thanks to Lauma. WILL THAT MEAN I WILL PLAY HIM MORE? Absolutely not . Will that mean YOU will play him more? Most likely not either. Unless you really like him.

To me - his kit is designed for Shatterbloom, but in my extremely limited experience of that team, I seem to run into an issue where his Skill cooldown is way too heckin' long and I'm not sure if there's any way to fix that outside of SacGreat (which fixes the problem the first time but the subsequent times)...

I'll just say that Kaveh is... Interesting. Maybe. For like 10mins. And then I forget his kit ever existed until something else funny pops up.

This banner is probably the most WhoCares kind of banner probably 'coz Lauma is hard carrying it lol. That's usually par for the course with the banners in Genshin - the more hype the 5* is, the more Bedge the 4*s. Good Luck on y'alls pulls!
