Meditation Steps
Meditation is a journey into the depths of your own consciousness — where silence finds its voice, and the hustle of everyday life fades away. Imagine each breath filling you with peace, and each exhale sweeping away tension and stress. A gentle calm surrounds you, giving your mind a break from the countless thoughts buzzing like bees in a hive.
With your eyes closed, you slowly drift into deep relaxation. Like a leaf resting on the surface of a quiet lake, your body feels weightless. You welcome each thought, but you don’t hold on to it. They come and go like clouds in the sky, leaving no trace behind.
Allow yourself to simply witness in this moment — not judging, not analyzing — just being. Here, in this inner space, there is no past or future, only the infinite now, full of deep meaning and serenity.
This is your time — time to recharge, to feel peace, to just be.
Happiness lives within each of us.

Meditation Steps
Dada Diiptimanananda sings Prabhata Samgiita no. 4816. This song expresses the unwavering journey of the spiritual seeker, who must move forward without looking back. The singer acknowledges that the path once taken cannot be retraced, emphasizing the necessity of surrendering to the divine flow. Despite not fully understanding the ways of the Supreme Guide, they recognize that both joy and sorrow come from the same source, and nothing remains hidden from the Cosmic Consciousness.
In a quiet, heartfelt prayer, the seeker entrusts themselves completely to the Supreme, accepting whatever the Divine Will may bring. Yet, amidst this surrender, one humble request remains: that the Infinite never forgets this small, individual soul. The song beautifully reflects the devotee’s deep faith, trust, and longing for an unbroken connection with the Divine.

Kaoshikii Mistakes That Prevent You from Achieving the Full Effect of This Yogic Dance
Let’s look at cases where the dance may do more harm than good in improving physical health and preparing the body and mind for meditation practice:
1. Sudden and excessive bends
Side bends should be around 45 degrees, forward bends should be done with bent knees, and backbends should not exceed 15 degrees. Sudden movements can be harmful to the spine and muscles.
2. Performing the dance with straight legs
Your knees should always act as shock absorbers and remain slightly bent, especially when bending forward or arching backward—this will protect your lower back.
3. Incorrect backbend
The arch should come from the thoracic spine, not the neck. The pelvis should remain stable, and the center of the chest should move forward and upward.
4. Bent elbows and interlocked fingers
Your arms should remain straight, palms pressed together, and biceps aligned with your ears.
5. Tilting the head backward
The head (and neck) should remain as an extension of the spine, staying between the raised arms and moving in unison with the torso. Tilting the head back may cause tension and muscle strain in the neck.
6. Incorrect foot placement
Each step should cross behind the other foot, striking the floor with the ball of the foot (not the toes). The impact should be moderate—not too heavy, but not just a light touch either.
7. Breaking the body's central axis
In kaoshikii, the torso should remain aligned—no leaning or twisting. When bending sideways, imagine gliding between two walls and reaching with the crown of your head so that the entire spine bends evenly, like a flexible, resilient branch.
Which of these mistakes do you recognize in your own practice? What helps you maintain proper form?

Meditation Steps
Yesterday, in my live video, I explained the basics of Jiṋana Yoga, the yoga of knowledge, and the three key processes we need to fully engage our inner capacity for knowing.
I shared that real knowledge transforms and improves the person. We move beyond ignorance by taking IN the knowledge of truth.
There are three main skills that a practitioner of Jiṋana Yoga must learn:
• Shravana – listening
• Manana – thinking deeply about what was heard
• Nididhyasana – going beyond thinking, making a transformational leap into a higher state of consciousness
These are inner practices that help us understand and live the truth.
Today, I’ll continue speaking on this topic and focus on practical ways we can train the ability to truly hear—the first and most important step on this path.

Meditation Steps
Question: I support vegetarianism and am trying to become vegan simply because I love animals. The philosophy of yogis says that eating meat lowers our energy levels and interferes with meditation. But I personally know Christians who eat meat, yet they pray a lot, serve others, spread kindness, and lead people. They are able to immerse themselves deeply in prayer, similar to meditation. One man, a pastor of a Protestant church, even vividly feels energy as a tingling sensation in his spine during prayers. I know that these people have highly developed intuition, meaning they achieve results no worse than yogis, even though they are not vegetarians, though they do observe fasting. How can this be explained?
Dada Sadananda's Answer: Honestly, I haven't really met people who achieve subtle spiritual states without vegetarianism. Yes, some people are born with a certain level of genius. And someone—while being intoxicated and smoking a cigarette—might have more spirituality than a vegetarian. In other words, vegetarianism is an auxiliary factor, not the main one. Some people are born with spirituality; it is the feeling of accepting the Higher, the Supreme Consciousness.
Therefore, vegetarianism is not the most important thing in life, but it greatly enhances the subtlety of perception. And I am sure that if these same people followed a sattvic diet, they would discover a completely new world and never return to a meat-based diet.
Being a vegetarian does not make you spiritual. Not being a vegetarian does not deprive you of spirituality, but it significantly hinders you. This is why there are brilliant people without vegetarianism, without yoga, and without anything else. These are karmic imprints from past lives.

Pleasure – Warden or Friend?
Imagine this: the devil is tasked with accelerating human aging. His weapon is not disasters but tiny doses of pleasure—coffee instead of sleep, social media instead of silence, sweets instead of exercise. We feed our own warden, thinking we control the cage.
The problem isn’t the habits themselves but how the brain clings to quick "rewards." We know yoga is better than alcohol, meditation is deeper than TV shows. Yet the body keeps choosing familiar dopamine over a long, happy life.
How do we break the cycle?
— Stop fighting addictions. Instead, learn to shift focus.
— Change rituals: don’t "ban" stress, but give the brain a new source of calm.
What small pleasure in your life feels like a warden rather than a friend?
