I’m Richard Farleigh, a former BBC Dragon and investor with a track record of backing over 100 innovative startups.
From my early days as a Central Banker and designing derivatives to managing macro funds in the fast-paced world of finance, I’ve built a career at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and growth. Along the way, I’ve authored four books, written as a columnist for CityAM, competed as a Chess Olympian, and served as Chancellor at a UK university.
But my journey didn’t start with privilege. Growing up in the care system and overcoming significant challenges, I’ve built a life that proves where you begin doesn’t define where you can go.
This channel is where I share insights on business, strategy, and the mindset needed to succeed—along with personal stories of resilience and lessons learned from decades of experience.
