ঈদে টানা ৯ দিন সরকারি ছুটি। ৩ এপ্রিলও ছুটি দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে সরকার।
সরকারি কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীরা এবার পবিত্র ঈদুল ফিতরে টানা ৯ দিনের ছুটি পাচ্ছেন। পূর্বে ঘোষিত ৫ দিনের ছুটির সঙ্গে নির্বাহী আদেশে ৩ এপ্রিলও ছুটি যুক্ত হয়েছে। ফলে ২৮ মার্চ থেকে ৫ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত সরকারি দপ্তরগুলো বন্ধ থাকবে। এর ফলে প্রায় ১৫ লাখ সরকারি কর্মচারী এই দীর্ঘ ছুটি উপভোগ করবেন।
এদিকে, তৈরি পোশাকশিল্পের শ্রমিকদের ছুটি নিয়ে বিজিএমইএ ও বিকেএমইএ কারখানা মালিকদের অনুরোধ করেছে, যেন তারা সম্ভব হলে ঈদের দুই-তিন দিন আগেই ছুটি ঘোষণা করেন। তবে শিপমেন্টের চাপ থাকায় বেশিরভাগ কারখানা শেষ কর্মদিবসে ছুটি দেয়। এছাড়া, বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক ঈদের সময়ে নির্দিষ্ট ব্যাংক শাখা খোলা রাখার বিষয়ে এখনো কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়নি। সরকারি-বেসরকারি ব্যাংকের দুই লাখের বেশি কর্মচারী আছেন, যারা ঈদের সময় বিশেষ ব্যবস্থায় কাজ করেন। অন্যদিকে, সরকারি ছুটির নিয়ম অনুযায়ী, কোনো কর্মচারী চাইলে ঐচ্ছিক ছুটি নিতে পারবেন, তবে সেটির জন্য আগেই অনুমোদন নিতে হবে।
