5 Foods to Avoid for Better Health & Longevity

1️⃣ Cereals – Many cereals are treated with chemicals like glyphosate (a pesticide) and contain artificial additives that may impact gut and hormone health.

2️⃣ Sauces & Salad Dressings – Often made with inflammatory oils like soybean, canola, or vegetable oil, which can increase inflammation and harm heart health.

For those of you who are new here, I’m an occupational therapist with a passion for helping older adults stay strong, mobile, and independent. On this channel, you'll find workouts designed just for you, along with practical nutrition tips and advice to help you feel your best and stay active for years to come.

I stepped away for a little while to focus on balancing life — juggling toddler adventures, part-time OT work, and of course, being a wife and mom (so many hats to wear!). But now I’m back and ready to bring you fresh workouts and helpful tips that fit right into your everyday life.

Over the weekend I posted the latest full body workout with ✨✨👌👌 great music. If you missed it make sure you get it in today! It’s a 20 minute moderately challenging full body strengthening exercise for seniors using one dumbbell or bodyweight. In this workout we are completing 5 exercises with each completing 2 sets of 10 repetitions. Additionally, we will incorporate light walking for rest but also to increase heart rate for our cardiovascular system.

This is a 22 minute walking workout for seniors, beginners, and anyone who needs to get some extra movement! It’s a low impact cardio workout with no equipment. Also great for individuals looking to improve their bone density, alleviate arthritis pain, and manage osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, lower blood sugar, and improve lung function. The music is fun and sure to get you pumped up!

In this workout each move will be around 30 seconds. The greatest part of this workout is that you can see the moves before they happen so that you can get ready for the next exercise!
