Meaning: “This mind is naturally luminous, but it is stained by incoming defilements.”
May we wear joy so bright and fearless that we uncover the original light of the heart — naturally radiant, free, and unrecognizable to sorrow. #PabhassaraCitta#LuminousMind#JoyfulHeart
English: Monks, by cultivating, developing, frequently practicing, and establishing the liberation of the mind through loving-kindness, one attains supreme concentration of the mind.
“Like a bright morning sun, let your mind shine with joy.” “Cittena nīyatī loko, cittena parikassati, cittassa ekadhammassa, sabbeva vasamanvagū.” — Aṅguttara Nikāya 1.6
“The world is led by the mind, stirred by the mind, and all beings follow the mind.”
Let this day begin with warmth, light, and wholesome thoughts.
“Aniccā vata saṅkhārā — uppāda-vaya-dhammino; Uppajjitvā nirujjhanti — tesaṁ vūpasamo sukho.” (All conditioned things are impermanent — arising and passing away; Having arisen, they cease — their stilling is true bliss.)
This verse reminds us to accept what is, knowing that all things arise and pass away — a perfect companion to the wisdom on the stone. Great for morning reflection. May you have a blessed day.
Buddhism is not about being pessimistic or optimistic. It is about being realistic — seeing things as they truly are (yathābhūtañānadassana). Peace doesn’t arise from wishing things were different, but from clear seeing, wise action, and inner discipline. Train the mind, and the heart will follow. Have a blessed day.
Sometimes the magic happens when you stop worrying about how things will turn out. Why do you worry over what you cannot control? Let go of worry. For one who has nothing, who clings to nothing, fear does not exist. — Dhammapada 39
Live lightly, like the wise who walk free of burden.
“Just as a mother would protect her only child with her own life, even so, one should cultivate a boundless heart toward all beings.” — The Buddha (Metta Sutta, Snp 1.8)
Let compassion be your first response, not your last resort. Even a single act of kindness echoes across lifetimes.
Don’t forget to be awesome — because every seed you plant today shapes the fruit you taste tomorrow.
“Yādisam vapate bījaṁ, taṁ phalaṁ adhigacchati; Kalyāṇakārī kalyāṇaṁ, pāpakārī ca pāpakaṁ; Puññapāpaphalūpago, na hi so kaṅkhati katassa.” (SN 11.10)
“Whatever seed one sows, that fruit one reaps. The doer of good gets good, the doer of evil gets evil. One who has done merit or demerit, harvests the fruit of that act without doubt.”
So, today — plant seeds of kindness, clarity, courage, and care. Awesomeness isn’t luck; it’s a cultivated habit. Be mindful of your intentions, and fearless in your goodness.
What you choose to pay attention to and how you pay attention to it is the best indication of your true values and expectations. What you choose to pay attention to and how you pay attenties to it is what creates your present and your fiture reality.
