IRL streamers can throw away their backpacks. After playing with Sony PDT-FT1 I confirmed more things.
* Battery is big enough to stream for 5 hours in 4K h265 with 5/4G and ethernet bonding (IRL Pro app)
* HDMI input is recognized as normal rear camera by all Android applications like IRL Pro or TikTok.
* HDMI input supports 4K 60p in Camera2 API
* Supports HLG HDR 10bit input. But if app is using 8bit only it's properly map the signal to BT709 (can record HDR in camera while streaming SDR)
* UVC camera connected to USB-C is also recognized as normal rear camera! Though maximum 30p.
* Built-in fan makes it impossible to overheat at +36C under direct sun. It does not become hot at all.
* Separate USB-C socket for power.
* Built-in 1/4" thread, no need cases. Side holes makes it compatible with ARRI-style anti-twist attachment.
* Less than $1K solid solution, not a banch of fiddly boards and wires
I going to try new streaming setup tomorrow at around 8am JST. I will create the event as soon as understand arrival time it may be earlier than 8am. I will walk around sakura of Ueno park for about an hour silently and if have enough time I may do another Q&A.
Finally I'm going to film HDR. I'm going to test new setup if it can do simultaneous stream without issues. And test myself if I can handle the weight :D
If get up not too late I'm going to start around 1pm Saturday. I will create the event when I get on the train.
Finally I got my monthly 30GB and can stream. Today I'm going to Konosu again to walk through rural Japan and fly in the end (this time no SDF bases around for sure) Planning to get there around 4pm.
