Yesterday I spent time with KFSC, bringing 23 students to District 21 for a fun day out. On paper, it’s “just an outing”.

But what I saw was something deeper: confidence being built, friendships forming, and young people realising they’re not alone.

As a past Kuok Foundation scholar, I remember how it feels when someone opens a door you didn’t know you were allowed to walk through.

Not just financial support — but the message behind it:

“You have potential. You are worth investing in.”

And it reminded me of something important for all of us in business, especially in an AI-driven year:

AI will scale your execution. But community scales your humanity.

In 2026, it’s easy to get obsessed with tools, automations, prompts, and productivity.

Yet the real differentiator isn’t “who uses the most AI” — it’s:

who builds trust

who builds relationships

who creates a safe space to learn, ask, and improve

who remembers that behind every workflow is a human being

That’s why I keep saying:
