2015 में प्रति एक लाख जनसंख्या पर 237 मामलों से 2024 में प्रति एक लाख जनसंख्या पर 187 मामलों तक, तपेदिक (टीबी) की घटना में वैश्विक स्तर पर 21% की सबसे अधिक गिरावट दर्ज की गई। 2024 में भारत ने टीबी के सबसे अधिक मामले दर्ज किए। देश के भीतर, उत्तर प्रदेश में सबसे अधिक मामले पाए गए, जिसके बाद महाराष्ट्र, बिहार और मध्य प्रदेश का स्थान है। दिल्ली में टीबी संक्रमण का प्रसार दर सबसे अधिक है, हालांकि इसके वास्तविक मामले इतने अधिक नहीं हैं। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2024 में भारत ने दवा-प्रतिरोधी टीबी मामलों की भी सबसे अधिक संख्या दर्ज की — जो वैश्विक MDR-TB और रिफैम्पिसिन-प्रतिरोधी (RR-TB) मामलों का 32% है। भारत की टीबी मृत्यु-दर 2015 में प्रति एक लाख जनसंख्या पर 28 मौतों से घटकर 2024 में 21 मौतें हो गई। भारत अपने द्वारा निर्धारित लक्ष्य को हासिल नहीं कर पाया है, क्योंकि उसने स्वयं के लिए टीबी उन्मूलन का लक्ष्य वर्ष 2025 तक रखा था, जो वैश्विक लक्ष्य 2030 से पाँच वर्ष पहले है।

NW-3 (West Coast Canal from Kottapuram to Kollam along with Udyogmandal and Champakara Canals) in Kerala, have already been developed with fairway navigational aids, jetties and terminals with mechanized equipment handling facilities for loading and unloading of cargo. These NWs are operational and vessels are plying on them.
In addition, NW-10 (river Amba),
NW-68 (river Mandovi),
NW-73 (river Narmada),
NW-83 (Rajpuri Creek),
NW-85 (Revadanda Creek - Kundalika River System), NW-91 (Shastri river–Jaigad creek system),
NW- 97 (Sunderbans Waterways),
NW-100 (river Tapi) and
NW-111 (river Zuari) are also operational.
