How close are we to actually simulating reality graphics in-game with AI?

Here's a graphics showcase of what AI technology currently does to modded Cyberpunk 2077:
Image 1. Path Tracing & Ray Tracing with Nova LUT + my NGD ReShade setup with custom PT tweaks.
Image 2. Path Tracing & Ray Tracing with Nova LUT and custom PT tweaks.
Image 3. Ray Tracing only with Nova LUT
Image 4. Raster (no AI tech enabled) with Nova LUT

Nvidia will release their next series of cards in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025 - the 5000 series.
This might be the last traditional Nvidia GPU series we'll ever see. Why? The answer is: AI. A GPU series based mainly around AI is getting close. We've already seen heavy progress towards this with DLSS 3.5 and FG.

Because of the expontential growth of AI it's speculated that we within 5 years will be capable of simulating some parts of reality. Even though we're still a very long way off actually integrating ourselves into this coming simulation, it's gonna be one crazy ride these coming years!
