Friendly reminder that my art show will be at Wishbone Animal Rights Lab until the end of December, with 50 paintings on display. So, check them out if you like, and maybe you'll even want to buy one. If you want to see my paintings on the internet, I'll post links in the comments to my website and Instagram. Thank you.
@wishbonearlab: "We have been bursting to share the news that Wishbone Animal Rights Lab will be holding its first-ever vegan art exhibit, number one in a series of monthly rotating shows. And who better to take this inaugural step with us than the kind, humble, genuine, and talented John Sakars!
Both whimsical and profound at the same time, John's art is not only eye-candy and eye-catching, but it will touch your heart deeply and give you food for thought.
At least 50 of his pieces will be on display at The Lab from June 29th through the entire month of July. Originals and prints are available for sale, and John has graciously and generously offered for this event to double as a fundraiser for Wishbone.
Please join us at this reception to kick off the show, meet the artist himself, and to celebrate John's wonderful works.
Don't miss this opportunity to take home your very own "John Sakars"!
Plant-based food and beverages available.
FYI: Wishbone Animal Rights Lab is located within a heritage building that houses one of Toronto's last remaining attendant-operated elevators. However, outside of regular weekday office hours, booking the lift requires an hourly fee to be paid. For attendees needing such assistance to the 3rd floor during this event, we will be providing this service within a designated timeframe. Further details to be provided shortly.
The Lab is a volunteer-run, largely self-funded initiative. Donations allow us to host more community-building events, develop more programming, conduct more workshops, create more content, purchase more equipment and literature, and cover our monthly hard costs. wishbonearlab.ca/donate or e-transfer to wishbonearlab@gmail.com" www.facebook.com/events/975445924131859?active_tab…
I just received this message on Facebook. "Hi John, I'm a big fan of your YouTube channel, a friend of mine on Twitch is listening to your Tickle song for 72 hours straight, if you feel compelled to do so you should drop by and say hello. He could use the encouragement." I just wrote a comment of support, and asked why he is doing this, haha. Here is a link if you want to see. www.twitch.tv/nintentoe?fbclid=IwAR3IEHA9NKSICW3Az…
I have been checking out the Bob Ross marathon on YouTube, and Bob just said, "I won't eat anything that ever had feathers on it." Unfortunately Bob died in 1995. I have no doubt that he would have gone vegan, had he lived a little bit longer. Even though he died at 52, he is still teaching people to be kind to all animals, via his videos.
Hi! On June 16th, I had Vitrectomy Surgery to fix a detached retina. A gas bubble was injected into my eye, and I had to be face down for ten days, to keep the gas bubble in the correct spot. I also need to take it easy and rest for two months. So, I am taking a break from making videos. I hope all is well with you!
Anyone is welcome to download any of my YouTube videos and use them for whatever you like. All my videos have a creative commons license. You can upload as many of them to your YouTube channel as you like, or anywhere else you like. I have never made a copyright takedown request, even when people made reaction videos and spent the whole time making fun of me. You could even make albums of my music and sell them and keep all the money you make and I would be 100% fine with that. I would even buy an album to help support you, like how I bought a t-shirt from someone who is selling t-shirts with my likeness on them on RedBubble. We are all one, and we do everything together. That's why copyright makes no sense to me. The entire universe as a whole made all my YouTube videos, not just me. You made my videos just as much as I did. Same goes for all my paintings. Sell prints of my paintings if you want. What's mine is yours.
Someone told me about Redbubble, and I saw that someone is selling t-shirts with my likeness on it. I usually prefer buying used clothing. But I was also touched that someone liked my song so much, they made a t-shirt. So, I decided to buy a shirt. I will take care of it and not turn it yellow with sweat stains or mustard. I just thought it would be a nice keepsake, about having a YouTube channel and meeting so many lovely people. Go Vegan Muthafucka was one of my late friend Diane Gandee Sorbi's favourite songs. I have now been vegan for 25 years, and I recommend veganism for everyone. The muthafucka part is just silly fun, but the go vegan part is 100% serious.
