16mm Time Machine

A look through the past spanning the last 100 years, historical footage covering everything from military to slice-of-life. A mix of independently shot silent home movie footage primarily from the 1920s-1940s, along with produced footage up to the 1970s.

All scans/transfers and processing done in-house from original film on custom frame-by-frame scanner. No AI tools used. Edited, framed & color-corrected in Resolve, with soundtracks arranged from public domain & licensed music for most silent ones. 16mm Frame resolution is ~1400p-1800p scaled to 2160p for higher quality on YT. 8mm ~1200p.

Please reach out if interested in use of footage in project, e-mail address is viewable on desktop.

Select cleared films (Government, non-renewed/non-filed published, films of 95+ years, author + 70, or explicitly) are monetized on this channel. Otherwise - just here for your enjoyment or research! Revenue (if any) will go towards scanner equipment & film costs.

Edit- Still work to do, but film's uploaded!

Been busy working on an improved version of my scanner, once finished I'll have a great 1950s National Air Guard film going up, in brilliant Kodachrome.

Wow over 3000 subscribers now, thank you! If you enjoyed the Florida film, I think you would also enjoy this film from a 1929 "land cruise" trip from Kansas to California!
