I actually hate it, i wanted to do something less summery and something like Chaeryeong obviously. I did just that but. I kinda like the pfp but I absolutely hate the banner 😔 tho i know this is the best i can come up with, I'll maybe give it a remake try when i have time.

A long video of the month was posted *cheering* 🙌. I was thinking about making part 2 with the artists i forgot or just didn't fit in the video but the video lowkey flopped. I don't really mind having low views cuz i do for fun not for views but i see no point in doing part 2 if no one is interested.

Also finally posted a short. I told myself that I'll release shorts every date that is able to be divided by 3. (3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30) Meaning 10 shorts per month but my lazy self just won't edit or better said I'll edit no problem but writing opinions takes time and i simply waste my time differently. Oh well I'll try to be more active 💁‍♀️

Nmixx comeback tomorrow! I will be at school so I won't be able to listen to it so I'll miss the release but I'll give it a listen as soon as i can. Here is my guess of my ranking based on the highlight medley:

1. O.O pt.1 (Baila) - love that version so much
2. O.O pt.2 (Superhero) - i may be biased as o.o is my fav nmixx song
3. REALITY HURTS - i beg beg beg that the whole song has this vibe not just an outro or dance break i need full song like the clip showed
4. PHOENIX - the first half they showed i was oh no another average song but the second half i was left flabbergasted
5. PODIUM - okay i like it but i am afraid it will be too annoying
6. RICO - was okay but then they started repeating rico and I actually became interested again hope it won't be too annoying
7. SHAPE OF LOVE - i love the vibe
8. BLUE VALENTINE - i have extremely mixed feelings about this
9. GAME FACE - idk really, not really interested in this
10. CRUSH ON YOU - sounds too soft?
11. ADORE U - a ballad. no, please

As for itzy's comeback i wanted to make a short on it but ummm i think i need time. I'm gonna be honest about it sucked at first listen, i was like that's it!? After ringo this is what we get? No joke my favorite song may be Gold japanese version - okay maybe not, i think no biggie final version. I need time, i know I'll like it it's itzy.

What should be the next long video? I was thinking NMIXX discography ranking? Or maybe tripleS one? But I probably want to wait for msnz releases. Oh well or something completely different? Mind sharing ideas?

1. DUTY AFTER SCHOOL (2023)
- 10 episodes (split into 2 parts 6e & 4e), each around 73.5 minutes
- is a gripping military sci‑fi thriller about high school seniors who are conscripted as cadets to fight mysterious purple spheres falling from the sky—and to earn bonus points for the CSAT college entrance exam
- when i started watching this i want expecting it to bee soo good like i got obssed. before i finished it i looked up the ending i would not recomend that especially this one but i am just used to doing it with each kdrama i watch. just recently moved to my number 1 kdrama i mean ktrauma.

2. NIGHT HAS COME (2023)
- 12 episodes, each around 35 minnutes
- a thriller K-drama where high school students are forced to play a deadly mafia game in real life, turning classmates against each other as they try to survive and uncover the mastermind. It explores themes of trust, betrayal, and human instinct under pressure
- it is basically based one a game i often play with friends so i really enjoy the concept, the idea and all is perfect but the writtin of it could use a little bit of improvment. my biggest problem is all the characters being extremely dumb but still i love it and watchedit about 7 times by now. i really want a second season


3. SQUID GAME (2021-2025)
- 22 episodes across 3 seasons, each around 59 minutes
- a survival thriller where 456 desperate people play deadly versions of childhood games for a huge cash prize. It explores human greed, morality, and class inequality under life-or-death pressure
- i mean everyone watched squid game at this point. i like this series mostly because of the meaning not the story. i mean i like the characters and stuff but like if someone dies i dontcry just think about the meaning of it. story wise my ranking of seasons is 1 >>>>>>>>>>> 2 >> 3 but like the meang wise i would say 3 >>>> 1 >>>>>>>>> 2


4. ALICE IN BORDELAND (2020 - 2022 + upcoming 2025)
- 16 episodes across 2 seasons ( 3rd season comming on 25th september), each around 60 minutes
- a Japanese sci‑fi thriller where gamers are mysteriously transported to an empty, parallel Tokyo and forced to survive by playing deadly "Borderland" games inspired by playing cards
- not a kdrama but a jdrama it was so good, i think i watched it in 2 days and i barelz slept. i cant wait for the 3. season. i watched this one with a friend and it was a lot of fun as we talked about it alot. i see whz it is so popular deserved


5. REVENGE OF OTHERS (2022)
- 12 episodes, each around 60 minnutes
- Ok Chan‑Mi investigates her twin brother’s death at a new high school while teaming up with a vigilante classmate to expose bullies and unravel layers of mystery (BL)
- i was into the investigation thingy i loved it. Honestly if this was just based on the story this would be higher but the thing is I didn't like connect with characters like i usually do. Also minus points for Salmon or what his name is (Solomon). I just don't like him


6. PYRAMID GAME (2024)
- 10 episodes, each around 50 minnutes
- A chilling school psychological thriller: at an all-girls high school, monthly popularity polls determine social hierarchy, and the lowest-ranked girl is punished through humiliation and bullying (not officially but i would say it is a GL)
- okay the first few episodes were a little boring but when we actually go to the story it became interesting. Honestly it suprised me because I saw ton of bad reviews. There is definitely a suggestion for season2 in the end tho no one is talking about it or better said nothing is happening. Let's hope. Bc season2 would be very interesting honestly. also wony´s sister plays there she is so pretty.


7. FRIENDLY RIVALY (2025)
– 16 episodes, each around 30 minutes.
- a teen mystery-thriller where a transfer student enters an elite girls’ high school and clashes with the top student. Their “friendly” rivalry soon turns into a dangerous obsession while hidden truths about her father’s death unravel. (GL)
- it was something. i honestly have so so so many mixed feelings with this. it was recomendation i got and like its good and i managed to rember the characters quickly and that doesnt happen a lot. some parts where like ummmm no.... but others were very interesting. tho i do not understand why would anyone do such a horible ending or better said the ending makes sense and all its cute and stuff but like thats it!?


8. ALL OF US ARE DEAD
- 12 episodes, each around 63 minnutes
- A gripping zombie apocalypse thriller set in a Korean high school, where students must band together to survive as a deadly virus outbreak turns classmates into the undead
- another kdrama i think everyone watched. I think it is slightly overated but its not bad at all. im so excited for upcoming season2. this kdrama has everything im looking for. thriller tho some people say this is horror but like whatever category you put zombies in. students/high school. not much of romance. live love Namra


9. BITCH X RICH & BITCH X RICH 2
- 2 seasons, 20 episodes total (10 per season), each around 35 minutes
- When a sharp young stundent becomes a witness to murder, she enters the glamorous but dangerous world of a wealthy high school, where secrets, envy, and power collide
- i just finished season 2. Ngl it is very confusing and complicated to explain. I was bored most of the time while watching it. But the ending of season2 was so good? But the ending of the ending needs to be a season3 or wth is this in the world of open endings. also red velvet Yerim plays there so why not watch it? also this is the first time i saw a korean male who i actually find attractive Won Gyu-Bin aka Lee Sa-Rang


10. WEAK HERO CLASS 1
- 8 episodes, each around 40 minnutes
- a quiet but brilliant top student, uses intellect, strategy, and his two unlikely friends to confront brutal school bullies in a tense cat-and-mouse psychological battle
- i had no idea and still dont what was the main plot or point of this.i was recomended this by 2 people so i said why not. this is one of most recent kdramas i finished and i only finished 1st season. it was boring at the begingin but then it got more intreresting. i am giving my self a pause before watching season 2 but i was told 2 is better than 1 so we will see


11. CHICKEN NUGGET (2024)
- 10 episodes, each around 30 minnutes
- A bizarre comedy-mystery: after a woman is mysteriously transformed into a chicken nugget, her father and a colleague follow a surreal trail to bring her back to human form
- not a thriller. ngl i have no idea what this actually is like... but on the other hand i kinda enjoyed it? it sounds weird and it is weird. the whole thing is so random but i know i had a few good laights with it. i watched it purelly as a joke when it randomly dropped. but it is fine just hella random

- i do not think i finished it but im only missing like 20 end minutes where nothing interesting happens. ah man what was this i had to have mental breaks between episodes .... not even i would puse it in midlle of an episode and just ive up i swear this took me like 2-3 months to finish it. my sister wtached it with me she liked it more than i did. only thing is part where thre main roles sister was drunk and needed to poop but the main character was on the toilet so the parents wwere telling her how to hold her poop in ... that and ‪@anieslemৎ‬ obsessing over cha en woo or how you write him


13. BUSNIS PROPOSAL
- 12 episodes, each around 61 minnutes
- A bubbly romantic comedy where a woman goes on a fake blind date in her friend’s place—only to discover the guy is her boss—and hilariously falls into fake-engagement chaos
- yeah... it and true beauty are so similar yet so diffrent. i dont remember much only me cringing every few minutes. the only scene i can tell you isthis old grandpa falling into a cabbage because of themain female lead and something with toilet.

For today’s yap I don’t really have anything special in mind—it’s more of a life update, since I feel like I’ve been pretty inactive here.

So, about this school year…
I’m going into 9th grade, which is honestly one of the most complicated years. I’m most likely gonna try to change schools and move to a bilingual one. That would mean entrance tests → tutoring → time… and time is exactly what I don’t have.

The whole process is extra complicated because I’m already in an 8-year gymnasium (6th grade → 13th). But I still want (or should) switch schools for better opportunities. The problem is, I don’t even know if I really want to. On one hand, a bilingual (English) school feels like the better option because I know I want to leave Slovakia the second I can. But on the other hand… I barely survived 8th grade with like 2–3 hours of sleep every day. Do I wanna go through worse?

And it’s not just the tests. We have these projects we need to present to random students, and I don’t even know my theme yet. Plus, I absolutely suck at presenting or speaking in front of people, so yeah… that’s gonna be fun. Then there’s the national 9th grade testing in Slovakia. It’s completely useless for me (since I’m already in gymnasium), but the teachers are definitely gonna make a huge deal out of it.

So yeah, I’m already doubting if I’ll be mentally okay this year. Yay.

Sorry for dumping my dilemmas here, but I needed to write it somewhere, and I know mostly just my friends read these anyway.

Now about this channel:
If things get complicated, I’ll try to post and maybe schedule stuff because I genuinely love this community. But if it gets too much, I’d probably go on a short hiatus instead of quitting—because quitting isn’t happening. During that time, I’d still try to comment on other people’s stuff, just not upload myself. That feels like a good plan, right?

Anyway, I should stop thinking about school—I still have summer to enjoy. I’m going on holiday to Slovenia soon, so idk how active I’ll be, but let’s be real—I’m too glued to my phone to disappear completely.

Speaking of that, I have a long video in production that I really wanna finish before September (pic 2 for spoiler 👀). Honestly, I’m shocked how the ranking turned out—I didn’t expect it at all, but my #1 is obvious.

Also, can we talk about Young Posse’s comeback??? Another potential SOTY and even AOTY for me. Yeah, I realize I’m biased, but they ate this comeback. What I don’t get though… are the reactions. (Check pic 3: the globe ones are international averages, the ones on the right are my ratings, and the one on top is my album score). People… 😭 I’m never beating the “weird taste” accusations, huh? Oh well.

tFirst of all, I wanna start with a question: what's your SOTY (Song of the Year)?
Because like... 2025 is not giving. Genuinely. My nominations are GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS and KISS & TELL. Call me biased, but ITZY ate, and honestly, everything else is kinda either on the B-side tier or barely promoted. I can’t think of another title track that screams “SOTY” this year. Maybe a few B-sides, but let’s be real—they don’t stand a chance.

I actually had this convo a few days ago with Tomi, and he said High Horse by NMIXX.
My reaction? “Who listens to that??”
Then I looked it up... the average rating is 8/10?? Like wth. This lullaby is so loved—why? Literally, why. I accept that music taste is subjective, but that might just be the worst NMIXX song to me.

Also, I’ve been seeing a lot of people loving Icarus by ARTMS (if that’s how you spell it?). I’m lowkey scared to say this because over half my online friends are Orbits, but for me, this is nowhere near good. I decided not to make an album rating video about it because… it just doesn’t feel right. I haven’t heard the B-sides, but Icarus completely killed my interest. Burn is fine, I guess.

To be honest, I was never into LOONA or ARTMS. I had some interest in Loossemble, but ARTMS never caught my attention. ARTMS reminds me of LOONA’s Butterfly, which I never liked either. And honestly, Icarus is even below mid. Sorry. It’s just not my vibe at all.

Oh, how I wish we had a normal SOTY this year—or better said, a SOTY I actually like.
Like, Supernova for 2024? Seriously?
2024 had bangers: ABCD, Don’t, Justice, Crazy, Born to Be… and we ended up with Supernova. 😭
Lowkey, aespa after Drama is just not it for me.
2023 – Ditto by NewJeans. No comment, tbh.
2022 – Love Dive. Nice song, but SOTY-worthy? Ehhh.
Butter, Dynamite, Boy With Luv… interesting picks, I guess.
And the last SOTY I actually like was What Is Love? by TWICE in 2018. That was 7 years ago when I first got into K-pop. C’mon now.

Anyways—moving on.

‼️‼️In August, I have two different camps during the first two weeks.
Week 1: I probably won’t be online much. Maybe I will, because I’m addicted to my phone lol, but there’s barely any signal or WiFi there, so I won’t be on YouTube. I might comment on someone’s video, but I’ll try to limit my phone usage. Also, I kinda ran out of pre-scheduled shorts because I had to delete a few due to mistakes. I’ll try to make a bunch tomorrow, but no promises—and if there are any, I fear they’ll be low-effort. 😅

Week 2: I sleep at home during this camp, so I could edit at night… but I might be too lazy or tired. We’ll see. Just a heads-up (which I probably should’ve put at the beginning lol).

Speaking of videos—there’s one long one currently in production. It’s kinda boring tbh, but it’s a filler before the “real” video. They’re not connected, I just didn’t want two ITZY videos back-to-back because I don’t wanna look too biased, yk.

Also… in tripleS I finally decided—my bias is both Chaeyeon and Joobin. They’re both just… aww.
I wanted to be different and only have one bias, but like… it’s impossible in a 24-member group. 😭 I also kinda have my bias list ready now, so maybe I’ll make a short about that tonight.

Oh—and I’ve been super obsessed with K-pop covers lately. Like, you don’t get how obsessed. I’ll probably start posting a lot of shorts about covers too.

literally the first song and already wanted to close the movie. instrumental? actually insane. but then the vocals start and it’s downhill from there. the rap in the second verse is lowkey fire but the "heels, nails, blade, mascara" part... ruined everything. and the high notes? not to be rude but they really don’t hit. only good thing? all 3 girls actually have lines this time.

SODA POP – Saja Boys, Andrew Choi, neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, SamUIL & K-Pop Demon Hunters Cast
call it annoying all you want but it's in my head 24/7 and i’m not even mad. the rap? loved. unlike huntr/x songs, this is actually memorable. ngl i watched the movie only because of this song (and because my sister forced me). if you ignore the weird sus lyrics, it’s a bop.

GOLDEN – HUNTR/X, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI & K-Pop Demon Hunters Cast
so many problems. zoey and mira only show up in the first verse, then it’s just rumi for the rest of the song. nothing against her singing voice actor (she seems sweet) but her singing voice just doesn’t work for me. it’s like Lisa — nothing wrong with them but their tone just doesn’t click with me. also this whole song sounds like a cheap IVE x Temu. can’t take it seriously. and when they say “born to be,” i start singing ITZY’s song instead. the high note delivery reminds me of Ahyeon in “Drip” and not in a good way. Also, someone told me this is competing for SOTY… people, I beg you, no! Also, I know they didn’t copy anything and just got inspired by K-pop since it’s about K-pop, but it’s still way too similar to I Am and Rebel Heart.

STRATEGY – TWICE
this was in the movie for like 20 seconds but it slayed. TWICE and the Saja Boys literally carried the whole soundtrack. nothing else to say except it's one of TWICE's best title tracks and deserved better screen time.

TAKEDOWN – HUNTR/X, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI & K-Pop Demon Hunters Cast / JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG (TWICE)
combining these cuz they're the same song, just different voices. TWICE version >>>. jihyo carried hard, and the line distribution just feels better. huntr/x version feels like rumi + backups, again. “how can you sleep or live with yourself?” is stuck in my head for no reason. both versions have potential to grow on me but i’m only streaming the TWICE one bc its TWICE.

i didn’t expect much from the tracks and somehow still got less. huntr/x would NOT save anyone, sorry. saja boys had way better songs. honestly if the whole thing was about them, i might’ve enjoyed it more. TWICE carried, even with 5 seconds of screentime. i sound biased but it’s true. y’all overhyping the soundtrack like it’s revolutionary — it’s not. again, no hate to people who liked it, but personally i don’t get the hype.

MOIE THOUGHTS
mid. like not the worst thing ever but definitely not worth the hype. when i first heard this movie existed i thought it would be cringe, boring, and just overall mid… then ppl started saying how good it is — even my sister (who usually doesnt like k-pop) was saying it slaps so i gave it a chance. she had already seen it like 3 times and made me watch it with her. safe to say my first instincts were correct. there were some fun moments (saja boys + fontma- ... i mean lee byung-hun and bobby carried), and zoey's personality was kinda fun (a bit extra tho), mira was the most realistic character tbh. but overall? boring, predictable, and left me with so many questions. like how did they know the lyrics to a random freestyle rumi made up? where did the background music even come from? how were they able fly in how its done? ... i know it's a kids movie but at least make the logic make a little bit of sense. anyway... if i had to sum it up: overhyped and kind of a mess. again, no hate to people who enjoyed it — good for you — but personally? skip.
