Welcome to the channel! We explore the world so you don't have to guess how to do it. Discovering new places, sharing honest experiences, and showing you the world and exactly how to explore it, one journey at a time.
I'm Michael. My wife Inta and I are two Australians creating honest, cinematic travel guides. We skip the "influencer" hype and focus on the reality of travel—the logistics, the costs, the food, and the hidden gems you might miss without a guide.
From uncovering our own backyard in Australia, to Italy and European river cruises, or exploring China, we’re here to show you that travel is about the mindset, not the age bracket.
If you like high-quality footage, dry humour, and actually useful travel advice, you're in the right place.

OK so what was so wrong with this image that no one wanted to click on it? I hope you like the new one.

Looking back at the Sydney to Adelaide series, and it seems like the wine regions are calling again! 🍇 https://youtu.be/ssIeKfYH5yY
It’s been over two years since we compared the Barossa and McLaren Vale, but the debate is still going strong in the comments. Whether it’s the rolling hills of the Barossa or the ocean views of the Vale, South Australia really is a paradise for wine lovers.
If you could only spend a weekend in ONE of these iconic regions, which are you choosing?

This was all six courses of my birthday dinner at Huka Lodge, each with a matched glass of wine. Now that WAS indulgent. What's the most indulgent meal you've ever had and what was the occasion?
If you don't know what I mean then you'd better catch up with the latest video.

Before the travel channel and the website, I was just a student of the "Casey Neistat school of filmmaking" back in 2022. I never actually published my first assignment, but I found it on a hard drive recently and thought some of you might enjoy seeing where it all started.
It features my exploration of campus art and its impact on student life.
Check out the "origin story" here: https://youtu.be/ujAQi1LVBUw
I’m keeping this unlisted for the "inner circle," but if you know someone who’d appreciate it, feel free to pass the link along.
Let me know if my editing has actually improved since then, or if I should go back to wearing the MCM shirt more often?

Happy New Year everyone! As we head into 2026, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the consistency of this channel's community.
Specifically, I want to thank the four of YOU. You know who you are. Every time I post here, like clockwork, there are exactly four likes. Not three, not five. Four. It honestly makes my day every time I see it 💗. I might even make some t-shirts for you "I was one of the four"
Since it's NYE, I wanted to leave a little virtual present for the four of you to say thanks for being the most reliable algorithm-busters on the platform.
Have a fantastic night, stay safe, and we'll see the four of you in 2026! 🎉

We're coming up to the penultimate episode of our European adventure, ending in Budapest Hungary before stopping in Dubai on the way home. Have you watched them all? Which was your favourite so far? It's sure been a journey and a half. Peace out.

The new episode is live, and it's a story of true emotional whiplash.
We go from the somber, gut-punch of Hitler's rally grounds and Courtroom 600... straight to clinking champagne glasses on our APT Danube cruise. It's a bizarre transition, but such an important one to document.
I'm incredibly proud of this one and would love for you to see it. It's the companion to the massive new travel guide on the website!

When you travel, do you make a point of visiting "heavy" historical sites?

☕✈️ Did you know we have a website too? michaelbtraveller.com
If you like our travel videos, you’ll love our online home for travel stories, guides, and behind-the-scenes moments from the road. I need your help. It's not wholly complete as yet, I've been working on Italy in between videos, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Let me know what you think please?
