UPDATE!

hey guys!

I just got an email from youtube saying that they're allowing my channel to be monetized again after reviewing my content and video appeal! I wanna thank you all so much for the support and kind words, it really helped me to stay calm during that scary situation

it's pretty sad though how that seems to be happening with a bunch of different artists for the last couple weeks. I went on twitter yesterday to gather information and apparently they all had the exact same issue as me, getting demonetized because of "misleading family content".

just because my situation was resolved rather quickly, don't assume everyone is getting the same treatment. It's still really bad that this whole thing happened in the first place, and I hope youtube get it fixed as quickly as possible

hey guys

so, recently youtube fully demonetized my channel with no prior warning, and their justification was that it contains "misleading family content".

I'm not sure why I need to make this clear, but my videos are NOT children's content. I always make sure to mark every single one of my videos as not being for kids when publishing, and the analytics point out that 90% of my public is over the age of 18.

I made a response to youtube explaining all that, but it didn't change anything

getting a bit personal, but I was planning on going to college for the first time in july/august, using youtube to help me pay for it. So now I don't know what to do.

I'm really sad, angry and worried. If just by being animation my content automatically qualifies as "family content", then youtube's understanding of the genre is clearly flawed.

I'm not sure what I'll do with my channel now, but I'll keep you guys updated

I know this is a bit of a surprise lmao I never publicly announced that I've been working on Little Wolf for the past month. Truth is I started this animatic way back in march I think, and kinda lost motivation then.

I thought that if I announced that I was working on it now I would lost motivation again

but it didn't happen! I finished and am very satisfied with the final result :D
