2 Corinthians 6:17

Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

We often associate this verse with the misdeeds of others and that very well may be something we need to avoid on the spiritual path. But we generally do not associate this verse with the inner life; coming out from among the thoughts, worries and preoccupations that have been instilled in us through the collective consciousness of society?

As just a couple of examples, how often do we sit around worrying about money, bad reports on the news or even silly things like getting older. How many times do we see men sitting around, beer in hand, talking about their jobs, all of the work they have done on their cars over the weekend or even patting themselves on the back for how intelligent they are because of their level of education? How often do we see women mimicking the unrealistic lifestyles of those they see on tv or trying to compete with witless men in a rat race that has no winner? The list could go on and on of unproductive and unspiritual thoughts that run through each and every one of our minds on a daily basis. Metaphysically, should we not come out from among those things and touch them not in our thought life? Because if we look at the fruits of such thoughts, what have they bred in our society today: shallowness of thinking, competition, spiritual laziness, oversized egos that have been pumped full of worldly wisdom and corporate greed. What a tangled web we weave within our own minds and most times we do not even realize it.

It's easy to criticize the world outside of ourselves, but most people will not even take a glimpse inward to take an honest inventory of the mental clutter that is weighing down their lives.

What do you need to walk away from that may be hindering your walk with God and cluttering your inner landscape?

So how do we stop being so stressful and filled with fear and worry? The solution is simple, but the execution of the solution may be difficult for some. But nonetheless, we need to practice taking our mind and attention off of all of the heavy morbidity, negativity, fear and distractions of this mundane world. And start to let our imaginations and our energy open up, and embrace those things that are beyond the physical sight. 

   When you encounter the unseen, when you feel Divine love in your life for the first time, and I mean really feel it in every aspect of your being. It no longer becomes a fairy tale or something that people sit around and debate about. It changes you, your perspective and the way you view this life. The universe truly is a magical and fascinating place; and I for one, could never understand why people would want to shrug off the spiritual and give all of their time, life and energy to the unreliable and burdensome system constructed by man! If we would only turn around and stop chasing the shadows in Plato's cave, our lives and the world would be revolutionized.

With the advent of the internet, everyone is free to post anything they like and show you how wise they are. The only problem is, their wisdom is often just their own opinion and they are ignorant of a great many facts.

When you become aware of the angels, you will gain a confidence and a spiritual strength that knows for a certainty that no tragedy or setback is ever faced alone. And no matter what unfolds on the path of life, you know that a friend stands beside you.

Higher learning is not all found in the classroom. In fact, the education of the mind can many times pale in comparison to the wisdom of those who have had rich life experiences and deep spiritual connections.

Just another way of saying that we will reap what we sow and what we put out into the universe will come back to us! We may think we have gotten away with all of the sneaky and rotten things we have said and done, but somewhere up ahead, karma is waiting!

It just pays to be a good person.

ANGEL MESSAGE FOR THIS WEEK: The world is changing, and many times we find it hard to navigate emotionally and. But the inner landscape can always remain one of joy, serenity and contentment. Your connection with God and the angels will be an endless source of strength no matter what is happening in the world around you. It was St Paul who said that we should focus on the things that are unseen and eternal rather than those things that are seen and temporary. In today's climate of global upheaval, those words are good medicine to apply to our lives.

The beauty and sublimity, the humanity and divinity, the simplicity and uniqueness, of Jesus’ life on earth present such a striking and appealing picture of man-saving and God-revealing that the theologians and philosophers of all time should be effectively restrained from daring to form creeds or create theological systems of spiritual bondage out of such a transcendental bestowal of God in the form of man.
